And Some People Wonder Why

I'm a little slow today...way to many irons in the fire! I don't recall seeing that in the article, but to your point, fighting rarely if ever bears out what or who is right and violence is even worse.

Calmer heads need to take charge, but that won't happen as long as your dealing with hot headed sheeple who are fed rhetoric designed to incite anger.

This is why our leader is so important. He sets the tone. As long as a leader continues to incite anger from his base, calmer heads loose their voice. This is why scripture says Gods voice is in the still small voice.
1 Kings 19:11-13

We cannot ignore the political issues of our day and i agree with you on what we should not do. However, we need an alternative that we may do something.

Biblically, what do you think we should do?
Stay as far away from politics as possible.
Paul told Timothy not to get involved with politics. (2 Tim 2:4)
From Daniel we learn that God sets up leaders or deposes them...leave room for God's wrath. Don't get caught up opposing God by voting for the wrong people.

God knows the end as well as the beginning of a matter...He knew me just as well when the foundations of the world were laid as He does today. I'm not even going to try to change His mind....I want Him to change mine.

If you oppose our leaders, you oppose the One who put them in that place. And I don't understand how people reconcile this in their heads with the rhetoric they state.
It's unfathomable. It's hypocrisy at it's finest.

Our political leaders have so little to do with our individual lives...I don't understand how your average person gets so wound up that they forget all about Jesus and absolutely defy everything He stood for.

Come outside of the politics...there's nothing good there any more. Eustacood...but not anymore.

Maybe a Christian could do something on a small scale...but in instances like Kim Davis...not any more.
So like I said...it's time for all Christians to leave the political games to the heathens.

While this may be true, what gets me labeled as a libratard over and over is people think that because I oppose certain behavior, then i oppose the person. You've heard the saying, love the sinner, hate the sin. Calling out sin can get you persecuted.

So yes, don't oppose our president ( and i don't care who's in office) but don't be afraid to call out sin, regardless where you see it.

As these last days close in, we have to learn to abandon the left/right (must pick a side ) mindset. If someone were to try and paint me in a corner and state my politics, I would simply say my stance is Christian Constitutionalist. I believe in the rights of the individual above government/corporate power. But first and foremost I am Christian. Priests in 3rd world countries who picked a side during revolution often got shot like anybody else. So don't pick a side. Pick Christ.

Sadly ,locally to simply have monument installed involved politics ,many a vet issues are addressed that way .while I'm,not in,need with va ,I,do fall into this

One outside of my,post in country .

If you have ever dealt with any agency its always political .

Amen.
Have you ever noticed that if you don't pick a side, you automatically get put into the opposing side and tagged with things you never said, let alone believe?

You need to pm,Jeff on his loss of his kid,I will give you perspective on how hard holidays can be ,or papa zoom who has said on fb it takes all his strength not to cry in church and he can't function for days after his loss .

God never said it was gonna be easy .that's my statement expanded on Xmas stuff it.

I'm human not Jesus ,

To date . my,wife had her right shoulder replaced ,her ovaries ,being cancerous ,near metazation removed ,neuropathy unchanging in her fingers, dementia is a possibility in causing that .

Aside from dental work .I don't blame God ,I,get bothered by how people react to my statements around the holidays and also life for me.cliche or Just don't get it.
Until one goes through it,one hasn't s clue,I'm guilty too.isolated in part because of work ,and the above .
I have sought prayer from the pastor of the church I attend a most Calvinist one ,lol

Amen.

Absolutely, but it actually caused me to be able to be more objective in my views and had the unexpected benefit of making me more empathetic and compassionate because I refuse to hate others due to their political/social beliefs. Still a growing process though since I was so deeply ingrained in my former beliefs. I'm still working to purge the residuals.

The burden should be spread across the entire community ( U.S. citizens).
Our country is based on biblical principals. Did you read the articles i gave you?
First, I'm not speaking specifically about healthcare. Second, that's literally a book on the topic and I'm not likely to read the whole thing. I did read some of it, though. Third, whether the US was formed on Biblical principals can be and has been debated for centuries.

In the parable of the good Samaritan Jesus was speaking about individuals caring for one another, not government intervention. In fact, it is not Christian to impose our values upon others. Jesus said, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's." And, when we are not heard, we are to shake the dust off our feat and walk away.

We actually were.
It only takes a little bit of real research into the matter before it is plainly obvious.

Read Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography, peruse Black's Law Dictionary, Read Washington's memoirs. Adam's letters ..any of the writings left behind by these guys and it becomes very clear that Christianity was to permeate all aspects of the Government.

A few of the definitions became warped over the years to promote a more secular position...and this was pretty much the Jews behind this...we accepted them and didn't abuse them when they came to America. They in turn did build libraries and hospitals...but their legal team? Meh...

The secular position's key thought is that a Deist is an Atheist...and nothing could be further from the truth. The various denominations were having a guerilla war with each other. (I know right?)
These "Deists" weren't unbelievers...they just didn't want to pick a side in a war they didn't believe in.
What we call today a state was what Thomas Jefferson called a church. The Federal Government was considered a state.

Because this notion of separation of religion and politics was not anything they considered. They were one in the same at that time. We have twisted this so far from the original it's kinda unbelievable.

Sooooo
I seriously doubt we can get the manure back in the horse.
But we definitely were founded upon Christian principles.

I wonder why people have so much hatred for the idea of Making America Great Again...

Why people think it’s racist to want to help the people of this nation have jobs, and secure borders?

Makes no sense.

I like New Zealand's 4 tiered system. The first tier is free medical for all. The second tier is government medical insurance. 3rd tier private medical insurance. 4th tier cash.

Yes, that is a better system. Basic care that affects longevity is provided inexpensively through the government. Economies of scale help keep prices affordable, along with moderation in lobbyist nest feathering. Anything extra can be bought with voluntary insurance or cash, at prices that are affordable compared to what cash customers in the USA are charged.

Cash prices in the USA are astronomical compared to the rest of the world, which makes insurance needlessly expensive too. Lobbyists. Needlessly unaffordable prices are cruel beyond all reason to the sick. There is no good reason for those prices. Its immoral to force the sick to needlessly feather the nests of lobbyists, just when they are at their most vulnerable.

A classic case of tying heavy burdens on helpless and vulnerable people. Then refusing to lift a finger to help them carry those cruel and unnecessary burdens.

And this shouldn't be.

Which is why we are a "political free zone".

We don't want this kind of arguing and accusatory language being used here.

We are God's kids...God is our King. No voting or debate about what or who is best. King Jesus is in charge.

This Earth isn't our home, and it doesn't contain our home country. There's no way to fix it. So why argue about it?

That's what I was thinking when I posted the article.

If we are people of the kingdom of God, and are to be about our Father’s business, and are called to watch and pray, then I hope the people of the kingdom of God could... “be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

Can we discern lies from the truth?

Can the people of this nation who are children of the King of the kingdom of God, determine who is best to lead the nation is making godly laws, and governing with values that are biblical?

I say yes.

So i don't really see this as Gods fault. What i do see, is it's the Churches fault because we, the church have lost the core values of Christianity which in part, is looking out for the vulnerable.

Amen to this.

But change is coming.

Making America Great Again...

I do think we should make America great again. During the 20th century, free market capitalism allowed America to produce half of the world's GDP all by itself. Then free market capitalism was jettisoned in favor of central planning by a committee of bankers, and granting monopolies to lobbyists. The country has been going backward in global GDP ever since. An honest dollar is the first step to making America great again. The next step is to again allow free markets to produce goods, instead of granting monopolies to lobbyists. Free market capitalism is the way back to a great America.

Paul told Timothy not to get involved with politics. (2 Tim 2:4)
From Daniel we learn that God sets up leaders or deposes them...leave room for God's wrath. Don't get caught up opposing God by voting for the wrong people.

Paul sought the leaders first to try and get them saved, so as to have godly leaders that would influence the people in the right way.

Daniel was elevated in “political office” and was a godly influence on the kings he served.

Not to mention the three Hebrew children, and Joseph in Egypt.

God wants righteous leaders in office.

God wants His influence through His people in all the earth.

America was great when godly leaders governed this nation.

I would hope that this would go for Congress as well.

Make Guillotines Great Again!

It’s not hard to see who the left is aligned with.

And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Revelation 20:4
