I've been a lukewarm Christian my whole life but recently I opened up my eyes
I know very little except theoretical knowledge and I have myny doubts and questions

Hi God's Soul and welcome to CF :wave2

I thank God for you and that you found this forum. We are here to help you learn the best that we can. I would like you to start with the book of John in the Bible as this will help teach you about God's salvation through Christ Jesus and our relationship with Him. Then read the book of Acts as this will teach you about the Holy Spirit. Before you start reading pray and ask the Holy Spirit to open your Spiritual eyes to receive the word of God as you ask for wisdom and understanding. There is a Question & Answer forum here that you can ask any questions you might have. Praying for you and your new journey with Christ and here for you :pray

I would say this forum or any online forum is a lousy choice to learn. You will be bombarded with conflicting answers from Baptists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals, Roman Catholics, end time rapture nuts, Amillennialists, premillennialists, postmillennialists and hundreds more.

You were advised to start in the book of John. That will tell you about Jesus. But what about Him? Why do we need Him? Maybe you need to start at the beginning and learn about creation and Adam's fall and the resulting "futility"
Romans_8:20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope

You need to understand the Bible's intent to tell a story about God and his acts in history for humanity’s salvation.
Sure you need to learn about the Savior, but also why we need a Savior, and why this particular Savior.

Being on these forums is cool but you won't learn anything. If you were serious about Christianity you would find a good Church and talk to real people.

A appreciate everyone's answers
I do feel a little overwhelmed about this journey and I'm yet to start with the Bible, apart from bits and stories read online
I'm a little conflicted but I guess it's just the part on the journey
Stumbling upon the video about mark of the beast really freaked me out im currently really set up on theories about that
God bless

Talk about trying to run before you can even crawl !

The mark of the beast is found in the book of revelation. It is something mature Christians argue and debate about.
Please concentrate on learning what Christianity is and is not before diving head first into confusing theology.
