Before the time of destruction, those whom God delivers, has been a very small remnant. Remember Lot ?
Out of Two Cities God could not find at least 10 people that were righteous:
Gen 18:
32And he said, Oh let not the LORD be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
And we know the rest of the story !
And Jesus compared the worlds conditions to this event too lk 17:
Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Remember, Jesus stated that except these days be shortened, no flesh would be saved ! except for the elect..
Matt 24:
22And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
The elect are going to be comparatively few against the Large population of the world..A little flock.

That figure of speech does not mean it was not a little flock, i.e that same expression is used to denote four kings and their armies in the time of Joshua:
Josh 11:
1And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard those things, that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
2And to the kings that were on the north of the mountains, and of the plains south of Chinneroth, and in the valley, and in the borders of Dor on the west,
3And to the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and to the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and to the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.
4And they went out, they and all their hosts with them, much people, even as the sand that is upon the sea shore in multitude, with horses and chariots very many.
Now compare that multitude with all the rest of the people ever to populate the world, that would be but a drop in the bucket, if that..

I do know this, its only a few in comparison to those who have lived and died upoin this earth.

Even up to the day Jesus comes ,everyone seems to be doing the same ol same ol.
And thats the point Im trying to make.
If the beast was going around killing all the christians as many people claim.And the plagues were destroying the entire world as many people claim.Why is it everyone in these verses we are reading are still going about thier daily buisness.Who knows.Maybe I will get married after the tribulation on the day Jesus comes back just for the fun of it.

Dude....It's coz the whole world will be decieved. Very few people are gonna be aware of what is actually going on. Worldwide plagues will be called 'isolated bird flu viruses'. Certain people being apprehended and dissapearing will be labeled 'potential terrorists'. They can always blame the round-up on a 'natural disaster' or a 'terrorist strike'. Armageddon will be just another middle east war. We've had those for 2 decades straight.
People are controlled by the media. They can be fooled into thinking whatever the global media magnates desire. They will quite happily go on with their daily routines as the world falls apart.
