I have mentioned many times that I'm still in university, including once in the post immediately before this one. That's hardly impressive.

Oh darn, you found my secret.

You maintain, however, that you can judge others and determine whether or not they are happy. Your arrogance is deafening.

Was just a case of gingercat botching the bbcode, not an outright attempt at deception. The altered text looks more like she was trying to respond. Just in the interest of preserving forum happiness.

Anyway, I suspect that I can relate to the mindset of at least some of the atheists and other non-Christians on these boards. I've gone onto forums that had a high number of atheists, and it wasn't to shout, "Ha ha, you suck, stupid atheists!" It wasn't to make them look dumb, or make myself look smart, or anything. It was simply because I found their outlook interesting, and wanted to discuss things with them so I could better understand both their positions and my own. That, and it's fun to debate with people with whom you disagree. Standing around in a crowd of people nodding and smiling and reaffirming one's own beliefs may be gratifying in the short term, but it yields no growth, no knowledge, and is ultimately pretty boring. I'd rather be locked in a room for the rest of my years with people with dramatically different views from my own than with a bunch of me-clones. At least it'd be interesting. :)

Understandable, but I think it's fairly obvious she was trying to speak for me - there were no quote tags inserted, no bbcode at all.

Not to mention that she didn't deny it when I called her on it.

Hello, this is Gingercat's daughter(the 16 year old one). My mom is an older asian lady, and isn't very good with spelling, grammar, and computers(they've changed them radically since her generation- she was used to computers back when they had keyboards in alphabetical order). Since then, she hasn't had much use for computers until maybe a year ago. She doesn't know how to use quotes very well, please don't spazz out on her because she makes simple mistakes like that. She just isn't used to all this complicated stuff, and she didn't have me look over it and fix it sooner. So, I'm sorry, but please, stop making a big deal out of it. She doesn't know bbcode and doesn't know how to make quotes
like this
and if I try to teach her, she's probably going to mess it up or do something weird. It was hard enough teaching her where to put her typings.

Now let it rest, okay? And don't forget- please don't make fun of her English, it's not her first language. Japanese is very, very different from English. [end gingercat's daughter]

Yes, I messed up some of the quoting, why are you making such big deal out of such innocent goofing?   I did not correct because I thought you understood what I did.

*sigh*

No, ginger, you did not mess up the quoting. The reason that you did not mess up the quoting is because there is text in that quote that was not there before. The only possible explanation for that text appearing there is if you typed it in yourself and then purposefully attributed it to me.

You are a liar, twice over now.

Novum, read what I typed. It was an accident. My mom is very good at botching things on the internet- she's freezed the computer, deleted posts and threads completely by accident, and she didn't mean to do it.

It wasn't on purpose! She had probably meant to type it after your quote or whatever, and just didn't realise she had put it in your quote.

Please be more considerate.(sorry, mom, what I say just doesn't sound like anything you'd say, lol, hope it's okay)

Don't you have anything better to do with your time?

Now I know you take every opportunity to drag down your opposers. Good day Novum. I can't take you seriously anymore.

Oh, get over yourself. Good day to you too, my dear. ;)

Novum, I am much older than you. You should not say "my dear" to older people, ok my dear?

Accepted. :)

Remember that this is the internet. It's very, very difficult to convey emotion (light-hearted comments) using only text. See you around!

For the record, I've been using computers since I was old enough to reach a keyboard, and I've made that exact same mistake several times.

Thanks novum. Like I said before, I am very goofy, I am doing my best but I goof up in many ways.

Resn,

I don't have any resorce but I have read many times that many scientists start out with to proofe there is not God and end up became His followers.
Well first of all I doubt they were scientists because they failed the first logical step in thinking. You can't prove a negative. Again it appears that in your world if something cannot be proved false then it must be true. If so Hercules Zeus and Santa are all real.

You seem very resorceful; how about trying to find out about it?

If you are trully interested in finding out the truth, you should read all mateial about the Bible.
I have. When someone claims something is true there should be more than one source and a reliable source at that. First in regards to the bible no one outside the bible records anything of Jesus first hand, Jesus himself wrote nothing down. It is highly unbelievable that he had personal biographers at his side that just happened to know what was important and what was not and with pen and paper in hand jotted it down word for word.

I am just hoping you are not playing game here for your own sake.

Are you fighting your mothers battles? Register and join the fray. Was that comment on keyboards a joke? You can buy ABC keyboards but they have never been standard issue on anything that I know of .

Ok, I will get it for you. :)

I understand that there are some athiest and non-Christians in this board.

I am wondering why you are here.

I would like to guess: Is it maybe you are interested or curious in Christianity?

I would like to brag about Jesus' teachings.

Jesus' teachings are the most noble teachings that no other religions can compete.

His utmost noblest teachings are seen in His command: "love your enemy".

If you are seeking utmost noble teaching and you would like to have one: Jesus is it!

Sociology 101....

One way to KNOW WHO YOU ARE is to understand WHAT YOU ARAE NOT.

Xtianity holds a religious majority in political influence, cultural tradition, and in the many aspects of popular culture in the USA.

Most people on these boards REGARDLESS of there beliefs probably grew up in a Xtian family in some sort of way.

For an atheist and non Christian to write on these boards denotes a healthy way to confront these past issues with the Church and promotes introspection on WHY they dont believe in the Bible anymore.

It sure beats starting fights in real life!
