Anyway, I suspect that I can relate to the mindset of at least some of the atheists and other non-Christians on these boards. I've gone onto forums that had a high number of atheists, and it wasn't to shout, "Ha ha, you suck, stupid atheists!" It wasn't to make them look dumb, or make myself look smart, or anything. It was simply because I found their outlook interesting, and wanted to discuss things with them so I could better understand both their positions and my own. That, and it's fun to debate with people with whom you disagree. Standing around in a crowd of people nodding and smiling and reaffirming one's own beliefs may be gratifying in the short term, but it yields no growth, no knowledge, and is ultimately pretty boring. I'd rather be locked in a room for the rest of my years with people with dramatically different views from my own than with a bunch of me-clones. At least it'd be interesting.
