I understand that there are some athiest and non-Christians in this board.

I am wondering why you are here.
!

Personally, I'm not religious in the sense that I do not follow any orthodox religion. I was Christian, but like many I fell away. For the last 5 years I have been studying different religions and philosophies, what I'm left with is something I find works for me.

I come to the forums because while I may not agree with Christianity as a whole I still believe there is much to be gained from an understanding of it and that there is much wisdom that I can learn. Besides, I've always enjoyed disscussing theology and people on this forum usually have interesting ideas and arguements.

That's just me, I can't answer for others.

Moral and ethical? Athiest say this, but what can they be talking about? If in fact we just die and that is all there is to it, then why not live as we please and die with as many things and as much power as we can.

Moral and ethics? Whos? The Christians, the Mormons, the Muslems, the Atiest? Whos do we go by, and if not one then why have any at all.

If we choose our own Moral and Ethic and there is no universality to it, what is the point?

There is none.

The very fact that we can even ask such a question is enough proof for me there is a God.

Does morality comes from God?

The question is: Is it right because God says it or does God say it because it is right?

If morality is of God that implies that God can change it, so if that were the case, if God said that it was right to murder those you love, would that make it right?

Or is morality a base constant? And if so then can we define morality, I think we can, morality is simple:

If it helps/is beneficial to people then it is good.
If it is harmful to people then it is bad.

As basic as that sounds, it has never steered me wrong.
