Benny Hinn

Brian, I love Joyce Meyer, and Creflo Dollar has gotten much, much better with his teachings. But Joyce teaches you about life, and I will always be grateful to her for doing so. The Lord makes all kinds of preachers, and the Lord makes certain preachers to preach certain things, certain styles and so on, like Jessie Duplantis, he is a one of a kind preacher, he brings a lot of humor to his teachings, he makes learning about God fun. Joyce applies everyday life to Biblical teachings, she is a lot of fun. But Joyce and Jessie will tell you, that they are not for everybody, so be it.

I'm like Lewis....I like the same one's he does for the same reasons. To me, no minister of God's Word has it 100% right. Via the posts I've read, the spirits have appeared to been tested. But God Almighty will turn their mistakes/lies around for HIS glory. I have found with all the she said/he said that flies around in cyber space about pastors, that it's a bit like eating fish. You eat the meat, and spit out the bones, and don't leave the remains around to stink up your home/the self.

i have some issues with joyce meyer as she has been under investagation for using given money inaproprataly, I dont listen to duplantis as i havent the chance too. I'm not big on tbn. I would rather listen to the radio ministries of calvary chapel and the like.

i did like the sermons with duplantis , though i dont buy the speak to problem type of prayer. I believe in prayer and believing what you ask for will come if the Lord wants you to have it.

Why do people listen to him?

The bible answers that and the answer is easy:

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears...

Itching is also translated "tickle", because people hear what they want to hear, the sensationalistic.

You gotta give Benny Hinn his props. Not many men can get away with wearing Nehru jackets nowadays.

The only thing I have to do for Mr Hinn is pray that God has mercy on his soul for being a false teacher. The same goes for all these TV evangelist. Not a one of them is preaching the Gospel. Anyone who uses God for personal gain is in danger of Hell fire.

What He said she said business? There is solid proof. Mister Benny Hinn is seen and heard blaspheming and spouting false prophecy. And I don't deal with he said she said stories if I can help it.

2Pe 2:1 ¶ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

2Pe 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

I'm more concerned about the souls that he is leading away from the true Gospel of Christ. :crying

Oh, you're right. I tend to be too lighthearted at times. It's how I manage to deal with the craziness of this world.

I don't doubt that God can work through this man to do good, but my opinion of his ministry is low. I'm not comfortable with someone becoming that rich and living lavishly off of charitable donations. It makes me strongly suspicious and not able to trust their intentions.

So I don't see financial responsibility and I have strong doubts about many of the claims he makes and I also don't agree with Word of Faith theology.

And Ronnie there's alot out there that isn't true, along with the truth of them....a truth they themselves created for their character they must live under, as we all do about ourselves. Internet/television and newspapers have the technology/skills to take things out of context, and allow you to view what they want you to view....it's done everyday resulting in lawsuits. Like the Lord stated: Ye without sin, cast the first stone.

That's why I firmly believe and stated......it's like eating fish. Eat the meat [truth]....and spit out the bones [false doctrine/prophecy].....throw out the remains, so they don't stink up your home/self....[by pulling the specks out of others eyes, while planks [that started out specks] are still in our own eyes]....fermenting.

Read/study the Bible/Truth, work on our own salvation with Christ, test the spirits by using our God given gifts, stay/stand firm loyal/faithful to the Trinity....for God alone will judge them for the preverseness against HIM, and HIS Truth. But before I throw someone else under the bus, I strongly live by what God instructed us to do.....Touch not my anointed, and do my prophets no harm. 1 Chronicles 16:22 And unless I've witness the conversation in person to where I know it as absolute truth, then I throw out the remains so not to stink up my own spirit with judgements....that could have possibly already been forgiven by Christ .

I'm not throwing him under a bus. In fact I called his ministries and asked the man kindly to repent of the madness. But I don't know if it did any good.

Let me tell you something. If a man speaks for God and is wrong even once then that man is no prophet of God's. The prophet who moves to speak for God must be right 100% of the time or that man or woman is a deceiver who has been deceived. Just like Benny Hinn. That's God's Word on this subject and you aren't entitled to an opinion. In fact neither am I or anyone else entitled to our own opinion on this subject or any other subject that is covered by the Holy Bible.

Out here we have a saying that you have to be like an old cow, you have to eat the hay and leave the stalk. I believe I like your saying better. The false doctrine (or the stalk) in ours doesn't start stinking :lol I like that part.
Thanks, Westtexas

That's not what I'm saying Ronnie......I'm saying we have to be obedient to the Truth that God gives us to protect us against those who speak falsely. But not whallow in their errors to where it consumes us to oppress them. God will expose them, and I am thankful, and staying in HIS Truth/Word does expose them, but who is anyone to continue to oppress if they've been forgiven when none of us are without faults. Theirs is just on a much grander scale than ours because it involves many, and their judgement is much more severe. Sin is sin in God's eyes, all sin is repulsive to our Lord to where HE has to turn away from it. My sin is no different than anothers, my judgement may differ due to my status, but sin never the less. Where is it my position to throw a stone at his sin, when I'm not without sin Ronnie? I make mistakes, I have my faults, I'm/we're to work out my/our salvation daily as God instructs.

God will turn around all his errors for HIS glory. But after you've made a mistake, and you've acknowledge it, and asked for forgiveness for it, and repented. Do you still want to continue working through your salvation with fear and trembling as God instructs while dodging stones cause someone can't forgive as Christ forgives?

Edited in......
I'm not out to put a mill stone around anyone's neck, they do it to themselves, but that don't mean I can't spit out those bones, and eat the meat/Truth of God's Word when they do speak it.

Now here's a little tid bit about Benny Hinn that God revealed to me years ago about something he himself said. He said [from his book] that for many days he shut himself up in his bedroom fasting and praying when he first was called forth by God with the Truth of HIM. And that God gave him a waking vision that tore him up from the floor up with the reality of it. He described it as seeing millions upon millions of people all heading in one direction to a large firey crevasse and they were all just falling in because there was no one leading them to Christ, and time was running out. He felt that God was calling him forth to preach the gospel. This is not what God revealed to me in my spirit when I read it. Have I repeated what God revealed in my spirit....no. Because God is Almighty, and doesn't need my help to expose someone. And those who have come to the Lord through that ministry...I see it as God turning it around for HIS glory.

Sorry if I offended but I do take this very serious as these people will spend eternity in Hell. I think taking things too lightly is a major problem in US churches today. I know that God take this very serious, shouldn't we?

Again. I am not throwing stones. I am simply upset about this whole thing where Benny Hinn does these deeds that are questionable, speaks of murder on television as if he wishes to commit it himself, not to mention his false prophecy. He has continued without ceasing, or even giving an utterance that he is anything less than holy. When has the man repented? I'd forgive him but he has to stop all of the nonsense first.

And Ronnie I don't blame you for being upset....it upsets me. But I Trust in God to take care of HIS children [good or bad] that step out of line. I know that when I've done something, and afterwards realize the depth of wrong in it, asked for forgiveness, and repented. But believe me, I get the big smack down in my spirit by God to bring me to that point of the realization of my wrong doing. If Benny Hinn doesn't get the big smack down in his spirit like we do, he will pay the price. You've done your best to reach out and speak the truth to him personally, and he still does what he does.....so spit out the bones, and don't let it consume you. God will expose those who are wrong in HIM. We can only be living examples of God's Truth to pull those from those that lie.

You can't blame Hinn, blame the people that are getting their ears tickled by going to his circus.
