If one is Born Again, he/she will follow rules out of obedience, not obligation.

That puts us back on topic, sort of. 8-)

If one is born again they follow rules by grace. One cannot follow anything without grace. Grace brings about obligation. Obligatoin is not always bad.

Romans 14
14: I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish:

Obligation is not neccesarily apart from love. I have obligations to my family, such as keeping a job. If I were single I would be much more free to just quit and go to another job. The obligation to provide for them goes hand in hand with the love I have for them. Thus I have never liked this dichotmoy of love vs. obligation, In fact I rarely like dichotimies. Do soming JUST out of obligation I agree may not be a good motivation. But to present it as a dichotomy does not give the proper perspective.

Blessings

I will also say that men do not follow rules JUST out of obligation if men are not born again.

Romans 2
14: When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law.
15: They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps excuse them
16: on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

I know you like this passage Vic. :D:. It tells us that men many times follow God's law's not out of obligation per se but because they are written on their hearts. That they are written on men's hearts is because of grace.

Blessings

Now that's no fun. Obligation is completely opposed to love and therefore NEVER do anything out of obligation.

Let's try again.

Just kidding. See my above posts.
