Boy who claimed he went to heaven recants

It is really a popular concept now that hell is not real or annihilation.Just another lie from Satan.
its not new. I mentioned whom believed. Tyndale the man who gave us the first English bible and also was inspiratational to luther. both are into soul sleep. luther is where the reform movement came in.

The best-selling book that documents a 6-year-old’s journey to heaven and back during the two months he spent in a coma is being pulled from shelves after the boy, who is now 17, recanted his story.

Alex Malarkey, the co-author of The Boy Who Came Back From Heaven with his father, Kevin Malarkey, was in a car crash in 2004 that left him paralyzed. The memoir, published in 2010 as part of the popular “heavenly tourism genre,” detailed his accounts of talking to Jesus Christ and meeting with the devil. Since its publication, the book has sold more than one million copies, according to the Washington Post.

Could this be an alternative explanation for why this young man has 'recanted':

With the books and the consequent guesting on talk show & talking head programs, the general population would naturally seek contact with him. It's possible he was so inundated by people that he couldn't not hold up to the constant barrage. There would be some people who would seek to harass him, proclaiming that his experience was heresy or a result of being demon possessed. There would be some on the fringes of the medical world who would want to run tests on him, to see if his experience could be replicated.

It's possible the family - and the young man in particular - just hasn't been able to cope with the after-math.

Post death experiences, uhmmmmm, I don't think so, if they went there and then came back then they weren't dead, Scripture says,

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Heb 9:27
For the most part, that has been my position from the start.

Even though this thing went on, NDE's are still real, it is just that this case wasn't.

It was real before the kid said,"I lied". And for those who haven't heard the news, it's still real.

NDE's are something the devil uses to lure people into the occult. People aren't going to heaven or hell and coming back. Basic knowledge in the Word will tell you that.

Wasn't Lazuras brought back from the dead?
Jesus brought back lazarus for His Glory.I do not recall Lazarus telling his story of coming back from the dead.

Yes, but the point is he was dead, then he was not dead, thereby opening the possibility of any human returning from the dead (whether they relate the experience or not). I am leaving for the moment the fact of our Savior's own resurrection. Lazuras was just a regular person.

Just because Jesus brought back Lazarus does not mean it is possible for someone to die and then come back to life and say they have been to heaven or hell.Lazarus and Jesus were very good friends.Jesus came three days after He was notified. He did this for a reason. So He could be Glorified.

Doctors bring regular people back to life everyday.

Well, you seem to be extending my statement out beyond what I'm saying. Some people are saying that it is by definition not possible to be "dead" and come back to life, because dead is dead, i.e. permanent. I'm saying that the Biblical account of Lazuras' resurrection is proof that a person come back from the dead. Whether this is a common occurence, and is the true explanation for the popular NDE stories, is a different matter. Visitation of heaven or hell is a separate issue not covered by the Lazuras story.

Actually, it's not covered in the bible at all.
.
Isn't most of Revelation a written account of what John saw on a visitation to Heaven? And doesn't Paul speak of a "man" (possibly himself) caught up to the third heaven? 2 Corinthians 12:2

Isn't most of Revelation a written account of what John saw on a visitation to Heaven?

John was on the island of Patmos, he wasn't actually in heaven.

He was having a vision. Not the same as being there.

I do not think that the miracle of Jesus bringing back Lazarus from the dead and the NDE are connected.

There was a movie starring Keifer Sutherland based on the idea of NDE. One of the scariest movies to me.
Oh, it was Flatliners.

Can you show me scripture that John was only having a vision and not actually transported to heaven?
