"The second cry is, “New radiocarbon was formed directly in the fossils when nearby decaying uranium bombarded traces of nitrogen in the buried fossils.” Carbon-14 does form from such transformation of nitrogen, but actual calculations demonstrate conclusively this process does not produce the levels of radiocarbon that world-class laboratories have found in fossils, coal, and diamonds."

This belief is found only in creationist writings,and cannot be reproduced by others. In fact, it's contradicted by direct observation:

14C in uranium and thorium minerals: a signature of cluster
radioactivity?

Abstract. Various uranium and thorium minerals have been analysed with accelerator mass spectrometry
to determine their 14C content. It is found that, whenever the contribution from secondary reactions such
as the 11B(α,p)14C is sufficiently low, the 14C concentration is consistent with that expected from 14C
(spontaneous) cluster radioactivity from radium isotopes of the uranium and thorium natural series.

i saw a report on a petrified tree that was done with electricity - it was cut up and given to different agencies to carbon date it - and lo and behold they all said it was millions of years - they couldn't agree on how many millions of years but the tree was alive within a short time of it's electrical petrification
