Why lable it "christian" taliban? Is that your idea of christianity soma-site?
I think 'religious taliban' would have been a more apropriate lable. Christianity get dragged through the mud enough, we should try to build up the name of christianity instead of equate it with anything. :-?

we all view anyone that is islamic, as Al-Qaeda, when surely, they are not. if so, then why are we "liberating" the Iraqi people? they are all islamic and al-qaeda too....
There are bad chrisitans, and good christians, same as muslims, hindus, atheists etc. Every religion has their negative part. However Americans tend to steryotype ALL muslims as being terrorist Jihadists, and when Muslims look at christians, they see the hate groups and such that we have, such as anythign associated with Fred Phelps.

Maybe the label "Religious extremists" would be less offensive?
I guess the shock value and paradoxical nature of "Christian Taliban" would warrant more people to look at this post rather than a boring neutral descriptive term. ;-)

or, they just misenterpret the texts, and enforce only certain parts. That seems to be the case of more than one sect of christianity.

No. This is a personl attack on the dead soldiers and their grieving families, who have nothing to do with supporting homosexuality.

actually, The only way for them to get their message out, is to DO such a thing. No one listens when they sit in a corner and yell "God hates fags" "god caused 9/11 because of the homo's" and things of that nature. Only when they demonstrate in areas that will get them media attention, will they gain more members (which sadly, they still somehow do)

apparently, if you attend their church services you can join in on the hate.
I have emailed their host site, asking them to shut the site down, due to the fact that it breaks the sites TOS (the hosting site allows hate speach, but no illegal activity or promotion of such) so, I figure the fact that they promote people to protest military funerals, is, illegal.

I am going to play "Devil's"advocate for this group and argue a few key points they bring up.
1. God will not / can not bless this country as long as homosexuality is allowed to be demonstrated publically and openly.
2. As was the case in the OT story of Sodom..... when homosexuality abounds.... God's wrath is just around the corner.
3. By publically denouncing the fleshy and corruptable nature of the liberal homosexual movement.... it may be possible to "get in favor" with the Living God by "converting" fags back to normalicy through the power of the Holy Spirit.
4. "Love thy Neighbor" also implies "rebuking" those that are "lost in sin" that leads to hell.

Well, for one thing Sodom wasn't solely about being too much man lovin' going on but that there were no people worth saving in there beyond Lot and his family. The town wanted to rape the angles that showed up and all that.
