Bible Study Church Women Are to Be Well Behaved.

Christian forums are not validators of God's actions upon individuals, and are not completely reliable.

Claiming an anointing or calling does not guarantee Doctrinal correctness, nor spiritual fruit. Do you comply with 1 Tim. 2:8-15 as the Word of God?

No NT woman is shown to teach the church, pastor, evangelize, or heal. God stated through Paul it is because of Eve's transgression. Agree?
1 Timothy 2:8-15 and 1 Corinthians 14 have been so badly misinterpreted as both the overall concern is orderly assemblies or in other words orderly worship. The church of Corinth was noted for the disorder rampant in that assembly, vs. 26-40. Those with a supposed revelation from God were shouting out randomly as no one could hear above the other causing chaos and no one was being edified or instructed. To remedy this Paul instructs a number of groups to be quiet at certain times and under certain conditions.

Within the 613 laws given by God there is not one that says a woman can not teach, preach or Evangelize, but that she does need to be called and anointed of God, just like a man needs to be. There is no difference between man and woman as both are co-equal being joint heirs with Christ being His body and He the head of the body. Paul actually encouraged women to speak, prophecy and lead.

Look how God used Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, Anna and Philip's four daughters to minister just as all those other women I listed.

Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Nothing guarantees Doctrinal correctness as there are way to many doctrines out there. This is why we test the spirits that teach us. If one, (man or woman) is truly anointed then they will display the fruits of the Spirit.

Lol. I see your anointing. Arguing with the Word of God takes a lot of endeavor and skill.

Have you ever listened to Joyce Meyer?

Bless you.
Who's arguing as I only discuss the word of God, using the scriptures that are already written. Don't care much for TV Evangelist as most teach a money making bandwagon teaching that only lines their pockets and make void the Spirit of truth.

Do you know this as fact?

What I read about her and her husband in the scriptures is that many places Paul list her first before Aquila as being more prominent at times. Priscilla helped Aguila in his learning of theology, helped to teach Apollos along side her husband and helped to establish the church in Ephesus founded in their home all while her and Aquila were co-equal in ministry.

Priscilla helped instruct Apollos and co-worker in ministry with her husband as they both taught others. Lois and Eunice taught Timothy and Phoebe is named as an overseer and a deacon in the church at Cenchrea. Believers are enjoined to teach and learn from one another without any reference to gender.
You might want to actually see what Scripture says about Priscilla.

Acts 18:26 is the only spot saying Priscilla ever really did anything, when she was with her husband expounding Apollos. Priscilla in other places is greeted by Paul, and acknowledged to be hosting a church in their house. No place mentions her without being under the authority of her husband. No place states she taught her husband.

Good news, right? Yes. God's Word for us.

Indeed. The text focused upon the lack discernment and self control of unsubmissive women, using the example of Eve "the woman being deceived (vs. 14)."

Remember, Eve sinned while she was still a pure and perfect woman. The open avenue of self centered deception was already in her nature.

1 Timothy 2:12 I do not allow a woman to teach or exercise authority over a man, but to remain quiet [in the congregation]. AMP

Satirical comment: Ah, the doctrine of God's 'cultural sensitivity' to man which leads to the ordination of homosexual clergy and encouragement of the LGBTQ+ community. (United Methodist Church, for example, is about to split because such issues)
I find by going through scripture in more detail in my previous post that this is simply untrue. Adding in factors of culture of the time, who the audience is that was being addressed, and whom was speaking gives us a lot more information when we put it all together.

Going by one verse or two at a time from 1 Timothy 2 does not tell the entire story. It's kind of like telling a story and leaving out a critical piece of information that can change the entire course of the story.

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to get at with your satirical comment.

Hi.
I doubt you, or anyone, can accurately state what Scripture says to all of "Us." But, thanks for being so kind to do your best to help.

Did Paul say women were to teach in church? Yes? No?

Do women teach, or just kind of explain things? Are they skilled at using their hands, body language, eye contact, and voice modulations to share their feelings? Are you?

Please tell me, is it possible for you to personally teach without speaking of yourself?

Thanks. I am not a teacher, but an avid listener. Teachers are held by God to a higher standard.

Who is the "We" you are typing to someone else? Just curious.

Thanks so much.
Like I said, I said it as if I were sitting and studying with someone.

Kind of like when a speaker may say, "If you would turn with me to Psalms chapter 23. Here, we read that..." or, "It's not every day that we see an elephant in a pink tutu in the middle of the intersection." It's a way of communicating and connecting with a person or an audience. I don't know how to explain it better than that.

I was not speaking of anyone or answering for anyone else, that's not something I am able to do as everyone has their own opinions and own findings in scripture.

Paul didn't stand there and say, "Women can't teach in church." If that was the case then why would he be in partnership with Priscilla and Aquila? It is interesting that Priscilla's name would even come first as this is contradictory to Roman custom. Roman custom was to always put the man's name first. Paul was an educated, Roman citizen so why would he do that if she didn't have some kind of spiritual authority?

Paul took Chloe's assessment of God's people seriously in 1 Corinthians. Why would he take her so seriously if she didn't have any spiritual authority?

Paul said he "commended" Phoebe. The Greek word for "commend" literally says, "to stand with." Why would he stand with Phoebe and endorse her if it was wrong for her to have such authority? He wouldn't have. Corinthians seemed to have a status obsession and Paul was refusing to play their game. Paul rebuked those who commend themselves and said it is the Lord who commends. Paul stood with Phoebe. This is a pretty clear sign that Phoebe had spiritual authority.

It's hard to believe that Paul would contradict himself.

Repeating what has already been stated adds nothing to a matter. Thanks so much for your support. Bless your faithful heart.

Partnership with an apostle does not mean they act as an apostle. Is this a unique view? Maybe.

Thanks so much for sharing. Blessings.

Well, repetition is the price of knowledge. And since you don't listen too well, it is all the more expedient.

You were given plenty of Scripture concerning Phoebe, Chloe, and Priscilla, and yet offer nothing. They didn't need to be an apostle to function in the Body of Christ.

Do you excluded women of also being disciples of Christ sent out into the world to preach/teach the Gospel to others?

In many cases of speaking about one's own self is testimony of the credentials only God gives in order to equip us for His ministry through the Holy Spirit working in us and through us. I agree as teachers are held to a higher standard as we are only accountable to God, not man, in all His judgement. This is why you and everyone else will see me use scripture in what I post. I'm just a vessel God work through and I hope I will always be a vessel of honor unto Him.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
James 1:23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
James 1:24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Yes. You are not accountable to me, but to God's Spirit and Word.

Do you follow 1 Tim. 2:8-15 when going to preach and evangelize unto men?

Remember, Eve sinned while she was still a pure and perfect woman. The open avenue of self centered deception was already in her nature.
Acts 18:24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
Acts 18:25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
Acts 18:26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.

They both took him unto themselves and taught him about Christ and His baptism of the Holy Spirit. Both taught Apollos. It shows nowhere where she was under the authority of her husband, but that Paul called both of them his fellow workers in Christ. It's also interesting that in five different references that Paul mentions her first and then Aquila. This was unheard of in that era to give a woman's name before her husbands name. This can suggest she played a leading role in the ministry. Paul writes in Romans 16:3,4 that both of them risked their necks for Paul as they continued to minister in Rome. In order for one to risk their neck this would be done for the cause of preaching the word. If Pricilla was the quite devoted submissive wife in the background to her husband she would not be at risk of dying a martyr's death as they both died by the hands of Rome for preaching the word of God.

Romans 16:3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:
Romans 16:4 Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

These two verses alone show that they shared in the same ministry as co-equals. It's the same with my husband and I when we were licensed Evangelist for a time and season of God's direction that we co-equaled the ministry God gave us as we both preached and taught the word of God to others.

References to Priscilla and Aquila: Acts 18; Romans 16:3, 4; 1 Corinthians 16:19; 2 Timothy 4:19

I'm only accountable to God and what He has called and anointed me to preach/teach through the equipping of the Holy Spirit who has anointed me to teach.

I am only a vessel as there are no man or woman vessels, but only the body of Christ in submission to the Father through Christ Jesus as those who have received Christ through what I have taught them of Him, the glory all goes to the Father.
