75 new cases in New Zealand today.
Once it gets in , it spreads.

Has it ever been determined how long it lives on surfaces?
I've heard from 30 minutes to 3 days.
Don't listen to this news all the time....I don't think it's a good idea.

Yes,
Up to a week on non reactive surfaces like stainless steel, glass, porcelain, and plastics.
24 hours on paper/Cardboard (money)
3 hours in the air...just floating around.
I can't recall how long on copper (coins) which will have the same effect as silver. But it was long enough to transmit that way too.

I know that you and everyone is self isolating...
And it's very annoying.
There's light at the end of the tunnel that is not an oncoming train.
The research community here is ramping up at an incredible pace...their full weight and might. (My wife is in the middle of it) Better solutions than previously thought. Mostly in the form of treatments because vaccines won't be available in time before most people catch this virus. I know of several currently being developed and a few working very effectively in most people...even Italians.

Clinical trials will begin very soon...not the small scale ones either involving 100 patients but ones involving tens of thousands. But it will be similar to an inoculation instead of a vaccine. (Best I can describe it)

I spied 6 homeless ,reaking,of alcohol and,these are the usual ones I know ,they were chillimg on,a Mexican restaurant that normally,would be fully,open,probably,later when they did show up shoed,them off.

Talk all you,want about,masks,distancing ,your homeless will be the next carriers imho. I had to distance my,self quickly,,they knew park employees by,first name

Oh it will be in the prison system soon enough...and in every gutter imaginable.
Probably very soon...the 20-30 crowd is the largest demographic with the virus here...meaning that soon it will be in the poorest communities.
 
Normally I'm supportive of the pd,they didn't even arrest ,ask for a,statement on,the lady who simply walked into,the woods to move bowels .that's disgusting .I,told the officer what i saw.I,would have pointer her out .I,guess I must take pictures .the problem will be that homeless who are unsanitary here ,will also carry .I,have been accosted at a few parks by those .I do pray for them but you can't allow them to congregate in,a time of a quarentine .

Miami has that problem too

In some prisons here there was rioting about two weeks ago because inmates wanted to be released due to the close living conditions.

It's like watching a horror movie.

I've been living in a horror film ever since my fiancee got arrested back in 2013. Unfortunately this appears to be the climax. :crying

Yeah I don't really feel afraid either and it's probably because I was already told not to be afraid by Jesus Himself and if He calls me home even today,.. I'm not really going to put up all that much of a fuss about it.

Homeless are rarely standing in line at the supermarket, so they won't be a primary vector for transmission in the general population. They should be tested same as everyone else though, if manufacturers ever get around to building enough tests and testing supplies. Carriers need to be located before they can be quarantined.
