Coronavirus

Yeah I don't really feel afraid either and it's probably because I was already told not to be afraid by Jesus Himself and if He calls me home even today,.. I'm not really going to put up all that much of a fuss about it.
I think this is how I feel too.
Maybe it's a matter of coming to accept our mortality?
We're not going to live forever and this has to be accepted...
Of course, I'm sure that if we got sick...we would still want to recover and live....but at least we'll have thought about it and can accept that one day we will no longer be here.

Sad thoughts however, for a young person such as yourself.

Homeless are rarely standing in line at the supermarket, so they won't be a primary vector for transmission in the general population. They should be tested same as everyone else though, if manufacturers ever get around to building enough tests and testing supplies. Carriers need to be located before they can be quarantined.
That's not true, they sit outside of publix, gas stations,Wal-Mart and beg.I,passed within feet .I can't carry a mask at work ,can't enter a bush ,rip it and expect to carry a clean one ,if I,did that. On beach routes I would burn through hundreds .

You ignore other vectors ,tb,and other things ,I have stepped in,human waste

The problem with IMMEDIATELY is that no one knew we were dealing with a new strain. It takes time to figure this out.

Captain Cook brought the common cold to Hawaii and many died from it.

But this was known as a coronavirus that can spread Human to human by officials in the first week on Jan, I think Jan 7. Through Jan and Feb it was spreading in different countries. Boarders were not shut and millions of people were travelling. We closed our boarders like mid March, way too late.

Shops have curbiside here, key west is closed,if this lasts covid 19 won't be the worst .can't funds my wife health care on unemployment

Yeah Jason,,,but you'll still be alive.
We'll get over this economic thing...
whoever would have thought?

Agreed Kiwidan...
But by Jan it was already too late anyway.
The borders couldn't be closed before anyone knew what this new virus was and then it was already spreading.

At the start, the dr's in China thought it was just pneumonia.
And persons were still flying all over the world.

Let's just pray it peaks at some point so we could get back
to our nomal life.

Think of parents that have to keep children with problems in the house all the time.

Think of persons that suffer from anxiety or depression - what they must be going through.

For some it's more difficult than for others.

Australia
4,247 confirmed
18 deaths
= 0.43%

They're the numbers in Australia.
Is it worth shutting down everything when the death ratio is less than half of one percent???
The degree of contagion is the problem.
It has to be stopped or everyone (almost) will get it.
THEN what would the death toll be?
Too high.

Homeless ,and a widow .my,wife is a diabetic and has other issues.

You can't assume science will cure this and the economy, will recover quickly.the longer it lasts the harder it will.

Restaurants are already closing for good.a brewery closed .it may temporary but unless its a few more weeks ,he may not reopen it.

There are not much jobs outside of service here.nurses also laid off, unless you have the type they need ,laid off.surgical centers closed .

Like I said once before 1% of a population is still a lot of people, that's how you have to look at it.

All cases that had a outcome combined is about 20% death although some health systems are better than others. That's massive and why it must be taken seriously. The more this spreads the more people suffer even if the % is low it's still a lot of people.

It's not a time to just think of ourselves.

Worldwide confirmed... 775,306
Worldwide deaths...........36,946

That's about 5%

At some point our leaders if this doesn't go away, schools closed in Florida till may. Will have to make a decision .can't lock the nation down forever .can't force snowbirds to stay in Florida easily

This is happening here too.
Nobody knows what the solution is.
One of my brothers thinks everything should just go on as usual.
This is putting economics before humanity since there would be many deaths.

I feel so badly for those in need....

People die from the flue all the time.can't. Just shut down and hope it stops in,a year.yellow fever lasted one year.1877 to 1878.

It also came back a few times ,we as you said don't know, whole towns simply vanished then.
