Scripture of the Day - PRAISE BRINGS ME INTO HIS PRESENCE

Acts 16:25,26 - "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bands were loosed."

Affirmations:

MY LIVING BY FAITH MOVES HIM TO HONOR MY FAITH; HOWEVER, WHEN I PLEASE HIM THROUGH MY PRAISE, HE VISITS ME IN PERSON.

GOD'S FAITHFULNESS IS TRIGGERED BY MY FAITH, WHILE PRAISE BRINGS ME INTO HIS PRESENCE.

WHEN I PRAISE GOD, HE RAISES ME OUT OF MY SITUATION.

WHEN I FIND MYSELF IN TROUBLE, I USE PRAISE AS A KEY TO UNLOCK THE "PRISON DOORS" OF MY CIRCUMSTANCES.

NO MATTER WHAT IS GOING ON IN MY LIFE, I WILL FILL MY MOUTH WITH THE HIGH PRAISES OF GOD!

John 14;13-14 "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son might bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."

James 5:15-16 "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."

Those are very good verses don't get me wrong, but I thought that we were supposed to only confess our sins to the Lord? Maybe it means more like sharing our sins then actually confessing them.

John 18:1 NKJV

"When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with His disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which He and His disciples entered."

I often go into my garden to pray and to meditate on the things of God. It's peaceful there and somehow I feel closer to the Lord there.
The sky, the plants, the singing birds and even the stray cats - they all make me aware of God's love.
I have often come to understand things there and sometimes have been able to make decisions that I had been finding difficult.
Amidst God's creation, peace and beauty things look different.

Scripture of the Day - BE NOT DISMAYED

Joshua 1:9 - "Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."

BY FAR THE GREATEST GIFT EVER RECEIVED BY US IS THE HOLY SPIRIT HIMSELF. THOSE WHO DISCOVER THE VALUE OF HIS PRESENCE ENTER REALMS OF INTIMACY WITH GOD NEVER PREVIOUSLY CONSIDERED POSSIBLE. OUT OF THIS VITAL RELATIONSHIP ARISES A MINISTRY OF POWER THAT FORMERLY WAS ONLY A DREAM. THE INCOMPREHENSIBLE BECOMES POSSIBLE BECAUSE HE IS WITH US.

"I WILL BE WITH YOU" IS A PROMISE MADE BY GOD TO ALL HIS SERVANTS. IT COMES WHEN GOD HAS REQUIRED SOMETHING OF US THAT IS HUMANLY IMPOSSIBLE.

GOD DOESN'T HAVE TO TRY TO DO SUPERNATURAL THINGS. HE IS SUPERNATURAL. IF HE IS INVITED TO A SITUATION, WE SHOULD EXPECT NOTHING BUT SUPERNATURAL INVASION.

I usually like what you say but I do wish that you would stop using caps for most all of your sentences. It makes it appear as if you're shouting.

Hebrews 11:1 NKJV

"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."

Faith is such a precious gift. It brings forth hope and comfort in the midst of all our problems. I pray I will never lose faith because of not using it

Hebrews 6:19-20 "We can now boldly enter into God's presence, the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us, has entered on our behalf." :amen

John 6:27 " Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed His seal of approval."

Scripture Of The Day - A CLOSED BOOK

2 Corinthians 5:21 - "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."

John 17:23 - "I in them and you in me, so that they may be completely one, in order that the world may know that you sent me and that you love them as you love me."

Jesus went to the cross to give us what he already possessed. He rose again so we could be re-created in His image.
We are the victory of almighty God! We are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. We are everything to the Father that Jesus is.

Affirmations:

I was born again -- I wasn't half re-born.

I wasn't made half-righteous or a quarter-righteous -- I was made the righteousness of God in Christ!

I am a joint Heir with Him.

I want to step up to the position of authority that Jesus has given me, to take my rightful place beside Him and learn to operate the way He does.

Proverbs 25:2 - "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter."

In reality the Bible is a closed book. Anything I can get from the Word without God will not change my life. It is closed to ensure that I remain dependent on the Holy Spirit.
When I treat the Bible as a roadmap I live as though I can find my way through my own understanding of His book.
Under grace I don't get a roadmap....I get a tour guide -- the Holy Spirit. He directs, reveals, and empowers me to be and do what the Word says.

Very good post! And thanks for not using all caps this time. I really appreciate it. It doesn't look like you're shouting anymore. :goodpost

11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

Scripture Of The Day - A GREAT HIGH PRIEST

Hebrews 4:14 -- "Having, then, a great High Priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession."

A GREAT HIGH PRIEST, JESUS THE SON OF GOD

The name Jesus speaks of His humanity, and of His work as a Savior from sin. This is is the first work of the priest -- the cleansing, the putting away of sin.
Secondly, the name SON OF GOD speaks of His divinity, and His power as High Priest, really to bring us to God, into the very life and fellowship of the Holy One. It is in His Son that God speaks to us; it is to the perfect fellowship and blessedness of the ever-blessed One that our great High Priest that is passed through the heavens can, and does indeed, bring us.

HAVING, THEREFORE, A GREAT HIGH PRIEST, LET US HOLD FAST OUR CONFESSION

We become partakers of Christ, IF WE HOLD FAST. Our faith in Christ must be CONFESSED. The knowledge of what He is is our strength to hold fast our confession.
If we have Him as our great High Priest, He is worthy of it; our souls will delight in rendering Him this homage; without it failure will speedily come; without it, the grace of steadfastness and perseverance, cannot be maintained.

WHO HAS PASSED THROUGH THE HEAVENS

Having passed through the heavens beyond all thought of space and place, into the mystery of the divine glory and power.

And why?

That He might in divine power breathe that heavenly life into our hearts. His whole priesthood has, as its one great characteristic -- heavenliness.
He communicates the purity, the power, the life of heaven to us.

We live in heaven with Him.
He lives with heaven in us.
With Him in our hearts we have the Kingdom of Heaven within us, in which God's will is done, as in heaven, so on earth.

Let us not fall short of the rest, as partakers of the heavenly calling -- consider the Apostle and High Priest of our CONFESSION -- Jesus.
Having Jesus, let us HOLD FAST.
