I use it to convert between the different E-book formats, like EPUB, PDF, Kindle, etc. There are additional add-ons that can be installed as well. I prefer to convert my e-books into PDF so that I can use a good PDF editor like PDF Exchange to use the mark up tools for making notes. PDF Exchange also has a a great search function and allows for loading many PDFs at once.
