Did God create hell?

How can you be like God without him forgiving you for your sins first?

You can't but it's still forgiveness. We're taught to love our enemies, God does yet some will end up in hell. I don't believe God sends people to hell but they will still end up there. Doesn't entirely square with a God of love, grace and forgiveness. But he's also a God of judgement.....its too late for this, I need more Baileys :D

But it's still forgiveness? How is it still forgiveness? How do you expect to receive forgiveness from God if you're not asking, seeking and knocking Matthew 7:7? God doesn't send people to hell, rather he releases them. Grazer, do you think you have a choice to turn to God in this lifetime based upon your free will? Where does God live right now, Heaven. Heaven is a holy place, is it just by God to have a person be born of the holy spirit in this lifetime to enter holy land after death? Why would God allow a sinner into his kingdom?

I think it's the height of arrogance and pride that allows a created being to question the Holiness of God and His righteous judgement. I don't judge God!
So you don't question these things?? Wow...even when i did believe in eternal torment i wondered about the illogic between a loving God who wants all to come to him and when they don't he tortures them not for a day or even a year but on and on and on. Wouldn't you think that eventually this constant agony would be enough to warrant an end?? Most thinking human beings would at least question these things...Christian or not. So would you like some scripture to support the end of exsistence of the unrighteous in a lake of fire or do you like believing that non-Christians are going to burn in agony forever?

Forgiveness from man and forgiveness from God are two completely different things. How do you reconcile these things in your mind??
Ahh i see...kind of like do as i say not do as i do?lol

Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy, as if it were common and unholy, and have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us

That's from the Living Bible translation. Our loving, merciful, holy and just God is giving us clear warning. You can find that warning in Hebrews the tenth chapter. God tells us there are differant degrees of hell.
To whom much is given is much expected.

And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven—Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment.

Jesus Christ "is" my Savior. The verse above comes from the LBT and found in the first letter to the Thessalonians in the first few paragraphs.

No, not do as I say, that would mean you don't have a choice. You do have a choice. Do as I do, ok well, what did God do? lol
What did God do you ask??lol You are not paying attention. According to you, what God does is torments the unrighteous forever in unbelievable agony. But he tells us to forgive them. Nice huh?

Grazer,

As you approach the throne of God with these questions never let it leave your mind that you are ONLY able to approach God because of the shed blood of His much very loved Son. Remember we are told to work out of salvation with "fear and trembling". This is an extremely serious matter never to be taken lightly or flippantly.

No Grappler, you're not paying attention. God doesn't send people to hell, he releases them. Do you think you have a choice to turn to God in this lifetime based upon your free will? No, not us rather God. Man cannot cleanse your sins as white as snow, only God can do that. Isaiah 1:18

Oh ok i get it God creates this place of unimaginable torment and then people choose to go there and once they get there they realize in between the blood curdling screams that they don't like it there and want out but God says nope since you rejected my Son (never mind those who never heard of Jesus) i am going to allow you to be tortured forever and forever. Nice huh?

Those in hell won't have the ability or desire to cry out to God.

Wrong again, a sinner doesn't believe in God, so why would he believe in hell. Why would a sinner want out of hell when they rejected God in this lifetime day after day? They never knew God, so what are they realizing? Are they realizing that hell is the complete absence of God? If so, then who is God? Not believing in God or hell justifies the sinner to do whatever he wants in this lifetime, nice huh? Is it fair for Richard Kuklinski who was catholic and a hit man for the mobb to murder over a 100 men and not receive punishment from God in the afterlife? God does not condemn those people unjustly that never heard the gospel.

Grappler, since you are on a christian forum, have you heard of Jesus, what is your belief in Jesus?

Now that is one of the most silly questions that i have heard.lol Why would a sinner want out of hell? you say?lol That is a good one. Is it a place of torment or not? Is the sinner having a good time in Hell? I don't know who Mr. Kuklinski is...sounds like a bad person. Who said anything about him not receiving punishment? I didn't. I think you are a bit confused on what i am saying...i never said that the unrighteous will not go to "Hell" i said that they will not go to this place of torment for eternity...that kind of punishment is not consistent with a loving God...evil and pain and sorrow will eventually not exsist anymore. I would hate the thought of living in the Kingdom of God knowing that some of my loved ones here on Earth are screaming in agony at that moment....wouldn't you?

that kind of punishment is not consistent with a loving God

Yes it's a place torment! What you're not understanding is that when you compare God to hell, they are the complete oppossite of each other. God is love/satan is hatred - God is peace/satan is fear - God is humility/satan is pride - God is joy/satan is torment - Heaven is joy/hell is torment. etc etc... - thesaurus..com Grappler.

Yes, I see it clearly. The most important question asked on this entire thread was completely ignored.
