By your statement many contract agreements with banks and government agencies would fit your description. Also the oath of public office for politicians, the oath of service for military and police, etc. however none of those fit the criteria are for Mark of the beast.

You will closely note Revelation 13:17 below and the word "Might" a suggestion of his will, it does not say "Shall" a definite requirement.

In verses 8-10 you see the saved believer, who is divinely "Protected" as if any man moves to hurt the believer, they in return will be hurt.

The Very same protection that the "Two Witnesses" in Revelation 11:5 maintain.

You will closely note in verse 13-14 that the world will be "Willfully Deceived" by the "False Miracles" they will not be forced into the mark, or image worship.

Your scenario is the "Left Behind" (Tim La Haye) Hollywood Movie Series, "Fictional".

When you focus on Revelation 11 and the "Two Witnesses" who will be present before the "Beast/Antichrist" You will see it will be a complete exact remake of Moses, Aaron, before Pharoh in Egypt.

The future 3.5 year tribulation will be God controlled through the "Two Witnesses"

I must disagree. I have no mark on my right hand, or my forehead, which is required of me in order to function in society.
I do have a "social insurance number" but that is not the mark. I do have debit cards and credit cards.. still not the mark.
The mark will be specific and mandatory to all.

The future little horn, antichrist, will be a Jew

Jerusalem was never part of the ten nations that Daniel explained in Daniel chapter 7 as Jerusalem never received a deadly wound that was healed as we read in the two beast in Rev 13. The little horn comes up out of the ten nations being the fourth beast (beast here means nations as it does in Rev 13), Daniel 7:7, 8.

Think about who it was that Satan has always used to persecuted and even killed those of faith from the time of Abraham, but many do nor recognize today.

My response to post #81 is that many Christians will die a martyr's death as they refuse to bow and and worship the beast. All will be tempted by the beast who promises peace, safety and provision and even the very elect of God who are yet with very weak faith and little knowledge can fall to this temptation and renounce Christ unaware that they are doing that as they are deceived.

Where did I say the last antichrist being the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12, will be in control of the wrath of God during the days of great tribulation? God is always in control and will let that which needs to come first come before Christ returns. The two witness have always been the word of God and the Holy Spirit that is in all who are of faith as we bare witness to Christ and the blood atonement and are sealed by the Holy Spirit unto the day of our redemption, 1 John 5:6-9; Ephesians 1:13, 14.

John is given the understanding that the two witnesses are in comparison to the two candlesticks and two olive trees, which if you read Zechariah Chapter 4 it explains that the golden candlestick is God. The seven lamps with the seven pipes that holds the oil (anointing) is that of the seven Spirits of God given to His Church: wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, reverence, might and Spirit of the Lord, Isaiah 11:2.

The two olive trees are to groups of people. One group being natural Israel (Old Testament) as a remnant according to the election of grace have been saved as in the 144,000 taken from the twelve tribes of Israel that remained faithful to God up to a thousand generations thereafter that remain faithful, 1 Chronicles 16:13-17. The other being Gentiles (New Testament) grafted into the branch by that same grace of God that have been washed in the blood of the Lamb and sealed by His Holy Spirit, John 3:3-7; Romans 10:9, 10; 2 Corinthians 1:22; Romans Chapter 11. The two witnesses have always been those who of faith have stood by God and His law in the Old Testament and those of faith who stand by God and Jesus under the dispensation of grace in the New Testament.

The Disciples were sent out to preach to the lost sheep of Israel, Matthew 10:5, 6 and Paul to the Gentiles, Acts 22:21, and so the same with these two witnesses throughout the generations as being two groups, one taking the Gospel to the lost sheep of Israel and the other group taking the Gospel to the Gentiles until Christ returns. They will be persecuted to death as Jesus was and all the martyr's before them and their bodies will lay in the street for three and a half days and then the Spirit of life from God will enter them and they will be caught up to heaven in a cloud, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. This will all occur during the seventh trumpet sounding as I believe all events during this time will happen quickly like 1 Corinthians 15:52 says in a twinkling of an eye we will all be changed and then caught up to Jesus during the seventh trumpet call.

I already explained or I should say Daniel has already explained the ten kingdoms and the little horn that rises out from those nations and Jerusalem was never part of those kingdoms, but yet ruled by the last one in the times of Christ and the Apostles.

The three kingdoms that were subdued by the little horn of Daniel 7:24 are the Heruli, Vandals, and Ostrogoths who were eliminated by the year 538 AD under the leadership of the Eastern Roman Emperor Justinian whose deadly wound came in 1798 and was healed by Mussolini in 1929.

Seven remaining nations that still exist today:

Babylonian Empire:
(Iraq) The lion represents the winged lions that guarded the royal places of Babylon.

Medo – Persian Empire:
(Iran) The ribs of the bear are part of the consuming greed that devours the first empire.

Grecian Empire:
(Greece, Turkey, Syria, Egypt) Four wings of the leopard described the swiftness of this empire that ran from 334-331BC. It wrestled world dominion from Medo-Persia. After the death of Alexander the Great the kingdom was divided into four minor kingdoms that continued as prominent factors in world politics until the Roman Empire gathered it back as one kingdom.

Roman Empire: (little horn, Daniel 8:9-14, 23-27)
Iron represents the stronghold this nation had. Daniel chapter 2 mentions the iron element of this empire that it to will be divided and broken as God will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.

I disagree, the "Antichrist" will not be in control of the future "Great Tribulation" it will be the "Two Witnesses" as seen in Revelation 11 who will be in control, a remake of Moses, Aaron, against Pharoh of Egypt.

A lot of people compare the tribulation period with the times of the Hebrew's in Egypt before the Exodus.

However, Christ did not make such a comparison. The times from the past biblical events that Jesus compared the end time to is that of Noah and Lot.

In both cases the elect were removed before the wrath of God came.

There will be two witnesses and many speculate that they will be Enoch and Elijah as these are the only two biblical characters that never died a natural death and "all are appointed once to die".

I guess, in one sense, the two witnesses will have control as they will constantly convict people of their evil doings. However, it could also be argued that they are not in control but just mirrors of the evil of the world at that time..

All the while, the antichrist, the false prophet and Satan will be in control.

Actually, I believe it will be. In these translations, below, the only one that is not explicit is the word "causeth". However, it is the "he" who causeth. The "he" is the antichrist. If someone "caused" you to do anything.. it is beyond your control.
It is a verb.

Jesus said this is the sign of Jonah as it only deals with the three days and nights Jesus would be in the heart of the earth. It has nothing to do with anything else.

Then perhaps he just hasn't taught you the rest of it yet. Or maybe you presume too much?

If what the seven thunders uttered are sealed up until the end of days then how can anyone know what they are as they have not been revealed as yet as the mystery of God is not yet fulfilled. It's only speculations that are taught what the seven thunders uttered.

The seven thunders were sealed up by not being written. But they are not sealed or hidden from Christ. The words of the book have been sealed, but I know you don't believe that either.

Just because the mystery has not yet been manifest to you, that does not mean that the mystery is not yet fulfilled.

I can only teach that what is already written as no one can issue God's final judgment. God has commited that to Christ at the great white throne judgment, John 5:17-30. The seven trumpets and seven vial being poured out is not God's final judgement, but a time of a greater calling to repent and turn back to Him as God would that none should perish, 2 Peter 3:9, 10.

So did Jonah. It's only 4 short chapters. Such a prominent prophet to be mentioned in a sign of his coming. Are you sure you wish to ignore? Well, that's right, you've got it all figured out.

Here is the explanation of the little horn in Daniel Chapter7 as you will see it is the last antichrist being the son of perdition also confirmed by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 and John in Rev 13.

One of the Lord's cautions to the seven churches was to return to your First Love. Jesus said where your heart is, there shall your treasure be also. Is your first love the anti-christ? If you seek the anti-christ in the scripture and then try and teach me of him, then where does your heart lay? And if your heart lays with the anti-christ, then the treasures that you seek are wrath and judgement: which is what you teach for salvation.

Not only did he think to change times and laws, but he established a whole new covenant while making the first one obsolete. Why he even declared himself to be the temple of God and then took away the daily sacrifice. HOW DARE HE!!!!

I disagree once again, "Cause" refers to the deception in false miracles, nobody will be forced into taking the mark, they will be deceived into this.

because of the word might, you maybe right. however the identity of the Mark still needs to be addressed & is unknown at this point. I tend to understand the wording Revelation 13:17 (KJV) And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. to be mandatory & that will be the identifying factor of the mark.

You will closely note Revelation 13:17 below and the word "Might" a suggestion of his will, it does not say "Shall" a definite requirement.

In verses 8-10 you see the saved believer, who is divinely "Protected" as if any man moves to hurt the believer, they in return will be hurt.

The Very same protection that the "Two Witnesses" in Revelation 11:5 maintain.

You will closely note in verse 13-14 that the world will be "Willfully Deceived" by the "False Miracles" they will not be forced into the mark, or image worship.

Your scenario is the "Left Behind" (Tim La Haye) Hollywood Movie Series, "Fictional".

When you focus on Revelation 11 and the "Two Witnesses" who will be present before the "Beast/Antichrist" You will see it will be a complete exact remake of Moses, Aaron, before Pharoh in Egypt.

Who gave Noah the idea and, really, the command, to build an ark? Noah was removed before the deluge.

Lot and his family were walked out of the area by angels, sent by God, to get them out of there. They were removed.

You missed my point. Christ did not compare the coming tribulation with the time of the exodus... He compared it to the "days of Noah" and "the times of Lot and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah".

All they do is convict and expose those on earth to the evil that they are committing. And, rightly so.
