I love blues (my favourite). I prefer calling it Deep Blues.;) I also love jazz. R&B is quite superb, hip hop etc
Music in the 70's and 80's and 90's -97 (and also in the 60's ...though I wasn't born in the 60's), particularly the blues (plus a little of Country and few other styles/genre) are a lot better compared to what we play today. I am quite more comfortable listening to them than listening to most of the songs and music people play today. Everything has changed.
Although most of these musicians are still living and are still good...but, Where are our today's Abba, Jim Reeves, Don Williams, Whitney Houston (a goddess), Boys 2 men, Phil Collins, Diana Ross, Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey (adorable), Celine dion (does any pitch), Tony Braxton etc in our today's music?
I prefer their music to (most of) what we have today.
Some of our musicians today are still very good. Just to kind of balance it
