Do you cook with gas ?

Yes, I cook with a gas stove . If gas stoves are banned would it affect you ?

Biden administration weighs nationwide ban on gas stoves: report

"Clip from link .
The Biden administration is considering a nationwide ban on gas stoves — citing the harmful pollutants released by the appliances, according to a report.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is mulling the action after recent studies showed emissions from the devices can cause health and respiratory problems, Bloomberg reported Monday.

“This is a hidden hazard,” CPSC Commissioner Richard Trumka Jr. told the outlet. “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”"
We've been using electric stove/oven but have been considering replacing it and I've been thinking about possibly going to LP gas. We do have LP here for our gas fireplace so it wouldn't be too difficult to add a line to supply a gas stove.

The main issue with gas stoves isn’t that it affects the climate, but that it negatively affects indoor air quality and thus one’s health. This has been know for quite a number of years.

As bad as burning fossil fuels can be, imagine the level of air pollution if we were still using wood for heating, cooking, and so forth. You can get a little taste of that just driving around here. A lot of my neighbors use wood for heating their homes. Some use outdoor wood stoves for heating their homes. While much safer, they are far less efficient than having the stove inside. Amish use nothing but wood and it is not uncommon to see smoke rising out of multiple chimneys in their homes and out buildings.

It only makes sense. Fuel combustion converts the fuel to other gases including carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and others and since the fires are not vented outdoors, these gases are emitted into the room. We can't see, smell, or taste them but they are there just as they are in the atmosphere from fuel combustion and other sources. The real question is whether or not they are in high enough concentration to be a concern.

When I go ice fishing, I use a LP gas buddy heater for heat. It provides from 6,000 - 12,000 BTU of heat. My fish house measures about 6' x 8' x 6' tall (about 300 cu. ft.) and most of the time I get by using the 6,000 BTU setting. I have never felt any negative effects from the exhaust even when spending an entire day fishing. But that doesn't mean those exhaust gases are not present. Just not in high enough concentration to be a problem. The heater has a low oxygen safety sensor that will shut it down just in case although I don't know how sensitive it is so would I be unconscious before it stopped?

I like our LP stove (GE Profile) and have LP log fireplace insert we use if our electric heat can't keep up . If we loose power we still have heat and cooking ability :) .

I don't disagree but ventilation solves that .

You can mandate a new gas stove must have an updated ventilation system .they do this locally with group homes must have a commercial kitchen set up and that uses forced air .

And do you seriously think they are concerned with health? This is how despotism takes over in that they say "it's for the safety or health of our ____" (fill in the blank). And yet they allow abortions and infanticide even after birth under certain conditions. Personally, I get so weary of the double-standards in that they say "what's good for you is not for me..." or again "rules for thee but not for me..."

If the Biden admin were concerned for health, they’d have never mandated those shots. Young adult unexplained deaths are up
all over the countries who did so, well above norms if you ask group life insurance companies and funeral parlors.

Because despotism is trying to take over by merely wanting to ban gas stoves which pose a health risk? First it's the stoves, then it's the guns then, it's your loved ones. Is that how it goes?

Yes, I said that already. Look at my earlier post where I said it's more than gas stoves.

My point is that why would they even be interested in gas stoves, when there are other things that would be more likely? We shouldn't just link things to despotism when there are potentially legitimate reasons for banning something.

The problem is bigger than the gas stove - it's about taking away and changing everything about life as we know it for their religion and political power. What religion and power is that? The future Antichrist or course.

Now that all said, I'm not sure if this is 1) the start of all this craziness in hopes that they can indoctrinate the youth while us older folks will die off so that the future generations know no better and become beehive compliant mentality or... 2) if it's designed so that some sort of "Savior" Antichrist will rise to power to restore "sanity", even looking conservative at first. Of course this person will still want us to all accept a mark and comply in the name of sanity and those who refuse the mark will be deemed people who are dangerous to society as a whole. Both outcomes are plausible, but maybe folks here can think of even other outcomes. The problem with #1 is you can't keep people brainwashed forever. Some will come to their senses, find out history somehow and rebel. The trials in Revelation prove that when everyone turns on the other. But then again, maybe that's why it ends so badly, too. Just get the popcorn and watch the crazy fun.
Are you okay? The discussion is about cooking with gas, but you expand it to "taking away and changing everything about life as we know it" then expand it to the Antichrist(!) and indoctrination of the youth. I mean, really!

"The sky is falling! The sky is falling!" (Chicken Little). Stoves -> guns -> loved ones -> nuclear war -> the end of all life on Earth -> the end of the universe! Better run out today and buy an electric stove and an electric furnace BEFORE THEY'RE ALL GONE!!!
