I did, and maintained my walk in the light since then.
I will remain in the light so I don't commit any more hateful acts against my Lord.
He was the propitiation for my sins when I became a Christian.
Any person who really believes in God, will never "cross" Him
As we see clearly from the scriptures —
- He IS the propitiation for our sins.
The scripture does not say, He
was the propitiation for our sins.
No matter how desperately you try to pervert and change the truth of the scriptures, they do not change. I promise you, every single day, when you turn to these scriptures, they will continue to remain the same. They continue to be the truth.
We/Us = Born again Christians
But
if we walk in the light as He is in the light,
we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses
us from all sin.
If
we say that
we have no sin,
we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in
us.
If
we confess
our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness.
If
we say that
we have not sinned,
we make Him a liar, and His word is not in
us.
My
little children, these things I write to you, so that
you may not sin. And if
anyone sins,
we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for
our sins, and not for
ours only but
also for the whole world. 1 John 1:8-2:2
As we are taught by the truth of the scriptures,
we who walk in the light, is
a reference to born again Christians, and
we who confess our sins is also
a reference to born again Christians.
In verse 2 we see the clear distinction between born again Christians and the world of unsaved ones.
- And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
