Imagican,

I guess we should just forget about it and take solace in the fact it's not a few hundred years ago where all Thess would have to do is tattle on us and we'd get our feet dipped in boiling oil for the crime of questioning religious dogma?

I do believe that was a couched insult. Your views are Arian. Shall we discuss their methods of winning people over?

So do you think Jesus prexisted before he was conceived in Mary's womb or are you avoiding that question?

I don't know if the 'truth' can 'truly' BE an insult. For THAT IS exactly what was perpetrated against many that 'spoke out' against this doctrine. So, if the shoe fits......................

I have done little research into Arianism. NOT my bag even though I have been 'accused' of such often. I know WHO Arius was and a 'little' about the controversy surrounding him, but little else. If they persecuted others as the RCC, then THEY WERE WRONG TOO. I am of the persuasion that 'I' am UNABLE to sway ANYONE. Plant a seed or two at BEST. But whether someone comes to the 'truth' or NOT, is TOTALLY between THEM and God. All I can do is offer what has been given and 'hope' that it may be used to 'open the hearts' of those that seek the 'truth'. Beyond that, I am JUST a 'servant'.

Jesus DID exist BEFORE taking on the 'flesh'. Of this there can be LITTLE doubt among those that understand 'WHO' Christ was/IS. And I notice that you didn't ask if He existed ETERNALLY from time past. THAT is PARAMONT to an understanding between the differences in understanding. For 'trinitarians' MUST believe that Christ has ALWAYS existed for Him to BE God. Others are able to see that for Christ to BE the Son means that the Father was BEFORE Him. For there CANNOT be a Son without a Father, but there CERTAINLY CAN be a Father without a Son. And we KNOW that God IS the Father of Christ for Christ's Father IS GOD.

We have the statement that Christ IS the 'firstborn of EVERY creature'. Many would choose to ignore this or create a meaning OTHER THAN what is stated. That doesn't alter the 'truth' in the least. Only in the minds of those that choose to do so. The 'truth' IS the 'truth' REGARDLESS of attempts to alter it.

That Christ IS a 'part' of God is UNDENIABLE, except to those that accept NO GOD. But being a 'part' does NOT make one 'the whole'. Just as WE are to be members of The Body but this does not make ANY ONE OF US THE BODY. And if you were to make claim of this I would dispute this ALSO.

Christ is OUR HEAD, JUST as God is HIS HEAD. No, NOT THE HEAD OF HIMSELF. We have it spelled out rather clearly. Man is the head of woman, Christ IS the head of man, and God IS the head of Christ. Simple really. No denial of the deity of Christ, but no TAKING away the place of God either. For God IS the Father, and Christ IS His Son. Any questions?, (he he he).
