Oh, thank you for those kind words my dear. I was not always as kind as I was demanding that people in the churches that I was their pastor, GROW UP!! 1lbTaylor spoke of that and we both were tired of bottle feeding Christians who had been saved for years with no real growth. There is an awesome responsibility for every pastor to PREACH THE WORD and preach repentance from dead works. It is really frustrating to see people just "warm a pew" and do nothing else. An old preacher told me once, "preach to the handful of hungry believers and let the rest warm the pew, you need the heat".
Since leaving being a full time pastor, I'm able to relax being so aggressive against sin, only in my own life. Being a Christian psychologist opened a fresh door into a realm that I had not faced as a pastor. I came face to face with demon oppression, a host of broken hearts, broken relationships, and just broken people. Through counseling in these situations, I saw how the Holy Spirit who was really the counselor, helped those people. He was way more gentle and kind than I was, so I had to change to keep up with Him.
I must always give the glory for what He has accomplished thru me, because everyone likes to be appreciated, including myself. If I'm not careful, I'll steal His glory, and that is sin!....Love you!
