End Times?

of course, It never was transferred to satan but man was given the earth to be stewards. that is my point as well. however, if isreal is faithful and those that come to the lord of Abraham's seed biologically and they exist today and then. they could be in the land. a conditional promise to Abraham not moses. that former covanent wasn't changed. unless you have proof that isn't the case.while I don't see the need for circumsion but that later was a sign that god would do that for Abraham not a part of the original promise.

land = H127 = adamah =

ground, landground (as general, tilled, yielding sustenance)
piece of ground, a specific plot of land
earth substance (for building or constructing)
ground as earth's visible surface
land, territory, country
whole inhabited earth
city in Naphtali

Also he built towers in the desert, and digged many wells: for he had much cattle, both in the low country, and in the plains: husbandmen also, and vine dressers in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he loved husbandry. H127

In Jeremiah 23, it may not be speaking of a particular piece of ground.

I'm thinking it may be referring to the first definition as being tilled ground, that yields fruit, that is cared for by a husbandman.

Speaking of Abraham and Sarah in Hebrews...

Hebrews 11 KJV
13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance, admitting that they were foreigners and strangers on earth. 14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

Maybe this is the land spoken of in Jeremiah 23.

Except flesh Israel wasn't faithful, except for the only biological seed of Abraham's that matters, who is Jesus. Abraham saw Jesus' day and was glad because it was a fulfillment of the covenant. Not changed, but fulfilled.

what I mean by that is what land if any will be divided amongst Hebrews in the land. is there any promise to any gentile of what land is given?no there isn't. I don't believe in that we dwell in heaven for ever. God never calls the earth and creation pre fall evil.

Well my prayer is, that there are so many saved Jews, that there wouldn't be enough room for all of them to live on the tiny piece of ground called, The State of Israel.
Like you said, the meek shall inherit the Earth.

10,425 sq mi is the size of todays Israel or about 8000 depending on where you look....

One of the feasts of the OT is the feast of Tabernacles. The plan was to 'camp out' for a week in what we would call sept/oct .... Celebrating /remembering the 40 years of the wilderness... (very much paraphrased)

How many people will be alive in the Millennium? How will the that area support such a pilgrimage? Each family was to build their own 'booth' ..( Tent Tabernacle)

Deu_16:16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the LORD empty:

Thinking on this brings this passage to mind....
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Joh 14:4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

That's today's Israel.
On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, “To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates (Gen. 15:18 ESV)
That's a bit bigger. But it's actually irrelevant, since the pilgrimage wasn't to Israel, but to Jerusalem. But, as unbelievable as it sounds, such pilgrimages will take place during the millennium.
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.(Zech. 14:16)

Sorry Deb. I don't follow what you are trying to say.

I have not been involved in this thread, except to say I don't know what amillinialism or Calvinism teaches.

Sorry. :dunno

the booth is called a sukhot or Succoth and its for teaching the Hebrews what the wilderness was like and how it was a dangerous journey for them and how god gave them provision and also protected them.

well I guess, eventide , martin luther was amillenial too and he wasn't a Calvinist at all. was he wrong for starting the reformation? calvin born I believe a century later got that from luther. he didn't invent amil. the rcc did with the saint agustine coining it first but it also was even around ere that as Justin martyr mentions it.

the feasts of tabernacles points very much to the Lord and the cross. he is our provision and protection from the dark world of sin. he is faithful to shield us from harm and give us what we need and good things.
