Faith alone questions

Can you be saved without baptism if it’s easily possible?
Yes. You can become a saved person before you ever touch the waters of baptism.

Can you say you believe and then live the rest of your life resisting the command to be water baptized? No, not if that disobedience is the result of unbelief.

The Bible says people are blessed Matt 5
Mary is blessed Lk 1:28
Do you know why?
All Generations of true Christians call her blessed. Lk 1:48
Also Lk 1:45 faithful
To a true the sweet name of our mother who gave birth “born again” to us is sweet, but to demons and false Christians is bitter. Mary is the air we breathe, as breathing is a sign of life so the frequent pronouncing the name of Mary is a sign of life of grace in Christ!
Mother of “fair love”
A person without a mother is an orphan, Jesus said I will not leave you orphan, behold Thy mother and the true disciples take her into their house. Jn 19:26-28
Scripture has it cursed is the man that angers his mother, rather honor Thy mother is a commandment!
Thanks
All believers are the mother and brother and sister of Christ (Matthew 12:46-50). You need to start listening to scripture instead of your church. But I know you won't. You're afraid you'll be cursed if you do, right? Isn't that what they tell you?

To sum it up no Jesus necessary?

Is that not the works gospel “pray” to obtain mercy?

How about being merciful?

Thanks
The obedience of righteous rituals and deeds is not how a person is justified. So they are not necessary for justification.

However, they are necessary as the proof that the righteousness that comes through faith, apart from works, has been imputed to a person.

Protestant:
JUSTIFICATION
SANCTIFICATION

Catholic:
INITIAL JUSTIFICATION
ONGOING JUSTIFICATION

We're going to have to drop this.
I don't see how the Catholic church can just decide to change 'sanctification' to 'justification'. Sanctification means one thing, and justification means another. What does sanctification even mean in the Catholic religion? Has it been discarded altogether in the Catholic church?

Jesus is the ark in the inner chamber of the temple where the blood is applied and where God comes down to meet man in mercy.

Trust me, no one is carrying Mary around in the inner chamber of the earthly tabernacle and tent of their flesh. That place is reserved for Jesus, and Jesus alone. Only Jesus resides there, by the Holy Spirit.
In the ark was the word of God!
In Mary the new ark is the living Word!
In the ark was the mana!
In Mary was the bread come down from heaven! Jn 6

OK
If you guys want to go on posting forever about this, I'll just get out of the way,,,again.

If our aim here is to clear things up, I'd like to ask you, and Mungo and Walpole two questions:

1. What is the sign of the New Covenant?
2. In 1 sentence explain how a person becomes INITIALLY justified.

Thanks.

Mary and the cross!

The Christian sacrament* of baptismal regeneration is required for the new covenant and salvation!

*this promise acts 2:38-39 is a sacred oath from God ez 36:25-27 and a sacred oath is a sacrament!

Initiation!!!

Faith & Baptism is the initiation of the new and eternal covenant!

You cannot enter on you’re own or by “faith alone”!

You cannot receive Christ or grace by “faith alone”!

“Accept Christ as you’re personal lord and savior” is fundamentalist tradition not found scripture!

Jn 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

2 pet 1: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Baptismal regeneration a new creation in Christ! 2 Cor 5:17

A sacrament is an oath! A sacred promise from God! Ez 36:25-27
Acts 2:38-39 (this promise)

No baptism no grace!

A sacrament is an outward sign for all men including infants And a gift from God to help us see what he does inwardly and invisibly by his grace!

As grace Washes our souls in the merits of Jesus blood from original and personal sin, so the outward action of washing is visible!

without the outward action the inward action cannot take place!

Jn 3:5 Titus 3:5 water and washing
acts 22:16 wash away your sin!

Jn 3:5 Born again BY water and the spirit! Not by “faith alone”!

They did not go to Jerusalem and preach “accept Christ as you’re personal Lord and savior “

They went to the river (water) and they baptized! Jn 3:22

A covenant requires an outward sign of the inward action of grace!

Ez 36:25 I will sprinkle you with clean water and you shall be made white as snow.

Acts 22:16 washing away your sins.

Eph 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism.

1 pet 3:21 baptism saves you.

You cannot enter on you’re own or by faith alone!

2 pet 1: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

Baptism!

God breathed life into Adam, gen 2:7 and we received this life from our fathers!

Christ breathed on the apostles our spiritual fathers, we receive the new covenant life of God’s grace from them thru faith & baptism! Jn 20:21-23 Mk 16:16 acts 8:36-38 eph 2

Born again! Born from above!

'The Father has set his seal' on Christ (John 6:27) and also seals us in him (cf. 2 Corinthians 1:22; Ephesians 1:23, 4:30). Because this seal indicates the indelible effect of the anointing with the Holy Spirit in the sacrament of Baptism,

Baptism indeed is the seal of eternal life." 87 The faithful Christian who I has "kept the seal" until the end, remaining faithful to the demands of his Baptism, will be able to depart this life "marked with the sign of faith," 88 with his baptismal faith, in expectation of the blessed vision of God - the consummation of faith - and in the hope of resurrection.

St. Paul tells the faithful at Ephesus that they have been “sealed with the promised Holy Spirit.” This is in terms of an indelible character imprinted on the soul in the sacraments of baptism and confirmation. It is not as if this invisible mark is simply decorative. Rather, through it, we are enabled to participate in Christ’s mission and in his offices of priest, prophet, and king. Eph 1:13

Sealed by God eph 1:13 sealed by God (ez 36:25-27) in the ark of salvation by baptism just as Noah was sealed by God in the ark of the flood gen 7:16

1 Pet 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

21 The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us!
(Ark of Noah a type of the church, member of Christ and his church and salvation by baptism!)
(Outside the ark of Noah none were saved, outside the church (the ark of salvation) none are saved!)

Sealed in the ark, sealed in the church the ark of salvation by God thru baptism!

Christ instituted the holy church to teach and sanctify all men unto eternal salvation. (repent and believe the gospel) with the institution of the sacraments to convey grace to sanctify souls!

Friend, in no way shape or form is Mary being carried around in the inner chamber of the tent of the flesh, the temple of God. JESUS is! That is where the Catholic teaching that Mary is the ark of the covenant breaks down.

You are being deceived. Don't be afraid to rebel against falsehood. Do not fear the threats of a church that says you are lost if you don't believe what they tell you to believe. All you need is the Bible, the Holy Spirit, and fellowship with other like minded believers to have a relationship with God. A church does not decide if you get to be saved or not. GOD does. And he is more than patient and willing to walk you through the truth if you have an honest and humble and searching heart.

No, NOTHING!
Abraham did NOTHING to be imputed the righteousness of God EXCEPT BELIEVE THE PROMISE. And Paul says that wasn't written just for him, but for us also (Romans 4:23-24). We get justified the same way - by faith in God's promise of a Son, apart from the doing of righteous rituals and deeds. That's what "righteousness apart from works" means.

You think that James' "faith alone" argument is Paul's "righteousness apart from works" argument. That's why you don't know what "righteousness apart from works" means.
Means apart from works alone divorced from God and his grace

Means apart from works alone divorced from God and his grace
It does not mean that.

It says you get righteousness by having faith, apart from and without works.

You're twisting it to say you get righteousness by faith and works, apart from and without works alone.

That doesn't even make sense! Show me where it says that.

Abraham was in the new covenant?
Don't you know that Jesus, the Son of Promise, and the giving of the Holy Spirit is the fulfilment of the covenant/promise God made with Abraham? Galatians 3:14

Stop resisting the plain words of scripture. Paul said we are imputed righteousness the same way Abraham was - by faith, plus NOTHING!

As you know, I stopped reading.
PLUS
You did Not reply to my 2 questions.

Only James 2:24 a man is justified by works and not by “faith alone”
Of these two, which definition of 'justified' is James using in James 2:24?

1. To demonstrate or prove to be just, right, or valid: justified each budgetary expense as necessary; anger that is justified by the circumstances.

2. To free (a human) of the guilt and penalty attached to grievous sin. Used of God.*

*justified definition

James is talking about #1, of course. How do we know that? By this...

18Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. James 2:18

So we see from the context that James is in no way saying a man is absolved of guilt by performing righteous deeds, as the Catholic church asserts. He is saying a man is shown to be just by his deeds. Paul, on the other hand is talking about definition #2, being justified in regard to be absolved of guilt, by one's faith, not their deeds. In other words, made righteous (Romans 3:21-22), as opposed to James' shown to be righteous (James 2:18). A man is justified both ways. His faith makes him righteous. His deeds show him to be righteous. And so a man is justified by, both, faith and works.

The Passover observance is indeed commanded by God. What I resist is how churches turn it into a cold dead meaningless mechanical ritual that they think pleases God. No thank you. You can have it.
So it is a strict ritual?

Christian worship is the Passover sacrifice!

Christ reformed the mosaic covenant into the new covenant!

Christ changed the old covenant Passover sacrifice into the new covenant Passover sacrifice in His own blood!

The mass or worship service is the new covenant passover!

Christ as high priest is wearing the seemless garment and say the words the high priest must say at the consummation of the Passover sacrifice: “it is finished” Jn 19:30
Lamb of God Jn 1:29
Passover sacrifice 1 cor 5:7

Established by Christ CANNOT be changed!

Thanks

Oh, and by the way, Jesus is not repeatedly offering up his body and blood in ritualistic fashion. He offered himself up one time for all time never to be repeated because it doesn't have to be repeated.
Not bleeding and dying over and over again? Really? Wow!

His sacrifice is eternal sacrifice!
The office of a priest is the offer sacrifice and He is an eternal priest heb 7:17
