The reason the Lord had to appear to Paul is because He knew Paul wouldn't listen to nobody else. Now in the case of Cornelius, the angel said send for Peter, 'cause, because Cornelius was, was ready, his heart was right, he'd been in prayer. But here's Paul killing everybody, causing 'em to blaspheme, Jesus said this man won't even listen to an angel, so I'll go do the job myself. So He went and knocked him right off his horse and preached the Gospel to him. He's doing the same thing today in the Muslim world. He's appearing, hear this, He is appearing to Muslims, saying I am Jesus of Nazareth! And they're coming to know the Lord! Why are those things happening? It's the last days! Saints, this is why we need to give to the Gospel now more than ever. You know naively say well I gave last year. Forget it! Last year it's gone! That cycle is over with! Seed time - harvest of last year is gone. Every season is a fresh season. We are in a fresh season. What, what you gave last year will not reap you anything this year. What you gave even a few months ago is gone, you got the harvest for that."

You keep defending these false teachers without actually addressing the data. It's like you just wanna give them your blessings and then quickly leave without defending their doctrines.

We're warned against this:

Defending means I must listen to gossip. Listening is also a sin, and gives gossip credence. I won't do that.

Dredging up things to carp about and to discredit people is pretty smarmy behaviour...IMHO, of course.

Examining doctrinal teachings is NOT gossip.

Gossip is talking about peoples intimate lives, relationships, unsubstanciated garble regarding who is talking to who or loose lipped chatter involving unimportant issues that dont involve the Body.

Those who sin and teach sin we are to rebuke before ALL that others may see and fear. It is a part of being a Christian and is not 'smarmy'. Your opinion is in error.

There are so many good, wonderful, uplifting, encouraging, edifying and God-honouring things that we could be sharing... *sigh*

Start a thread of your own by all means. We are exposing false teachers here.

You know folks there needs to be a position were we boldly point out where a professed christian has departed from scripture while at the same time we refuse to add anything to their error. For example, several years back I was listening to SonLife radio and they were pointing out something Billy Graham said that did not seem to agree with the bible. The way they went at it Billy Graham became a minister of satan, truly,if I had never known of the good ministry of BG I would have thought that he was a little worse than Jim Jones by the way they portrayed him.
My point, we NEED to point out when a bible teacher departs from the scriptures,to ignor such a departure is in itself a sin, however we should only point out exactly what they taught that violated scripture and never add our own opinion because that could be sin also. So it is a thin line to walk in this area.

The problem is WHEN does a bible teacher become a FALSE TEACHER? Most all Spirit indwelt bible teachers today teach a false pre-trib rapture of the church,in that area they truly are false teachers, however in most of the rest of the gospel they are teaching the truth.
So do we call a bible teacher a false teacher as opposed to just saying a bible teacher is teaching something false in a particular area? For me if a person is teaching a false way to God then that person is a false bible teacher. People like Hinn,Copeland,Warren, most all do teach a personal faith in Jesus Christ,so it is hard(for me)to simply label them as false teachers. They certainly teach some false doctrine and some of it dangerous, however if we call them a false teacher that implies that everything they teach is false.

do you believe He has spoken to us through His Word, & through His Son?
or is He speaking to you personally?

is this serious enough for you to look to what respected apologists/discernment ministries and sound teachers have to say?
