Fave verses defending the Divinity of Christ

This is a claimed Christian forum where we discuss the word of God as mature adults that have a desire to share with one another. If you can not do that then why are you here if you can not discuss and share with us. You are not showing much maturity for how old you are.

How old are YOU? Your response shows immaturity.
I requested for each scripture to be listed separately.
Is that too much for you?
I'm 68 and take the word of God and discussing it with others very seriously. If one can not take each scripture another gives, no matter how many of them there are, and go study them for themselves then they are only relying on man to teach them. The member asked for scriptures that say Jesus is also God and that is what I gave him so he could read and study them for himself.

If you have a problem with the staff here then please take it to Talk With the Staff and we can discuss there.

I'm 72, had a stroke and was declared dead, even tho one continued to apply the pressure and revived me. I'm now in better health than before after a year of strenuous exercise and diet. I take discussing the word of God my birthright. I would NEVER think of lying about it or substituting one of the church dogma with it!

I find after making a list like that NO ONE looks it up; want one from ME: it will be FAR FAR longer!

I had no idea a member requested such a list!

It's always better to start with the OP in order to know how others are replying to it.

I am very thorough with scripture trying to give the full context when needed, especially when it comes to the deity of Christ and what He has already said who He is. I for one do take all the scriptures someone gives and study them so I am not deceived by false doctrines as I would hope others would do as well.

That brings us to Biblical Facts!
Did Jesus direct worship to Himself or a Holy Ghost?

Since God is a triune God we worship Father, Son Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit as all are the Spirit of God and not one above the other.

1. God is Spirit, John 4:24, not flesh and blood and in the OT either spoke directly to the prophets or by angels and also various objects like a burning bush or an ass for example. Between the OT and NT God was silent towards Israel as when they returned to Israel from the Babylonian captivity they came back as merchants and not shepherds as they were disobedient to God going after other gods, Book of Malachi.

2. Jesus being the very Spirit of God before the foundation of the world as He and the Father are one was prophesied by the Prophets in the OT and spoken of by John the baptist in the NT as John being the forerunner of Christ calling all to repent. As foretold Christ did come as the word of God made flesh (skin, bone, blood) to be that light that shines in darkness. He came as redeemer Savior through Gods grace as Christ is our faith that all can repent of their sins and have eternal life with the Father to all who will believe in Him as Lord and Savior. John 1:1-4; 1 Peter 1:13-21

3. After the sacrifice of Christ God raised Him from the grave and as He had to ascend back up to heaven the promise was that He would never leave us or forsake us as when He ascended He sent down the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God) to indwell all who will believe in Christ and His finished works on the cross. In the OT Gods Spirit fell on them for a time and purpose under heaven. Now we are indwelled with that power and authority through Gods grace that the Holy Spirit now works in us and through us teaching all things God wants us to learn. All three are Spiritual and Spiritual awakenings in us to know the will of God and walk in His statures. John 16:7-15

Ephesians 4: 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Where in all that's holy does the Bible say "Triune, Trinity, God-the-Son" or all that Trinity jargon?
The Bible ascribes the characteristics of deity (Triune, Trinity, God the Son), to Christ Jesus. He is described as eternal, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent and immutable.

I gave all the scriptures for that in post #44, but you never took the time to go read them. You might want to read scripture in order to understand what Jesus has already said about Himself.

Does the holy spirit have a name?
Yes, Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost as being the same thing.

Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Right from the words of Jesus himself (and not others who have been misinterpreted) -

John 20:17- Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
The eternal father is God yes!
Do you believe that He is the eternal father?
Thanks
