George Floyd and the Liberal Lynch Mob

I used to type reports for my law professor. One of them said the following. "The Oakland police are afraid of tall, well-built black men because they look like they just got out of jail. They were therefore authorized to be more aggressive. I guess because the civil rights of the black man was less important than the black man.

Dear Turtel: You are still missing the point. George resisted because he was terrified. Police are known for being violent with black people. This was all about cigarettes therefore an over reaction. Whatever the autopsy says about how he died, he would not have died if he had been released when he cried out for his dead mother.
I got a feeling about this...
I think that George was terrified while being detained.
The officer who put his knee on his neck went specifically to ensure that someone he had a long time relationship with got treated fairly and decently. Which is why George was actually rather polite when requesting for the knee to be removed.

Even though his Work Buddy was there, the combination of heart trouble, high blood pressure, narcotics, and psychosis over being arrested was too much. And because of everything together George simply died.

"At least he is with Jesus right now . . ."

Amen. He was chosen by God to die so this would come to the attention of others. Some are not listening but others are. Unfortunately a crisis precedes change.

Even if George was a criminal he did not deserve to die over a pack of cigarettes. Rodney King was a criminal but he was also profound. During the riots he said, "Can we all get along." The other King, Martin Luther, could have not said it any better.

What were the alternatives to the police officer. There were four officers. George was handcuffed. The four of them could have held him in check standing up. Why was he on the ground.? When he said he could not breathe why did the policeman not just stand up. The police had all the power and they went too far.

I will say one thing for the policeman. He too was a victim. Someone taught him that procedure and made it legal. The look on his face in his mug shot broke my heart. It is the system that has to change. The law. The leadership.

It was someone he knew that died...it wasn't a stranger to him. He went to make sure that George got treated fairly and decently. They worked together for 17 years.
That's why the look on his face.

I resisted arrest once. When they put the handcuffs on me I ran and tried to hide. They did not throw me to the ground. I have a temper and when I get in an argument with a black person the police always take my side. I could lie and they would take my word for it. Minorities are treated differently. This is a fact.

The policeman was also terrified. As I mentioned regarding the report I typed for my professor. White police are terrified of tall, heavy-set black men. They just ASSUME he is dangerous. That describes my son. Whenever he calls the police for help, likeafter he got beat up, they always put cuffs on him and put him in the patrol car and then question the ones who beat him up. I am terrified of teenagers whatever their color. They harass me on the bus. They roam the neighborhood lighting fire crackers that sound like gun shots. They should be at home or in church.

"Cause unfortunately racism is a real thing."

Thank you for seeing this. Prejudice (pre-judging someone or something) is the tip of the iceberg. We have laws in this country that discriminate. This problem is systematic. Women, which is another topic, still make less than their malel counterparts. This is LEGAL is 2020

Jesus loves everyone in my opinion. I believe he loved Judas and forgave him. He loved the poor and the rich. He loved the sinner. He loves criminals. He loved me before I ever even aknowledged him. He is our model. And, for what it is worth, he did not discriminator against women. Mary Magdalene and Mary, sister of Martha, were his followers too. But I digress.

A Christian man named Henry Drummond wrote a book entitled, The Greatest Thing in the World. It said Love was the most important concept in the Bible. He said that you do not even need the Ten Commandments if you have love in your heart.

I was researching a book I wrote and came upon Works of Love by Soren Kierkegaard who said loving your neighbor was not a suggestion, it was a commandment. I command you guys to love everyone you lay your eyes on. LOL

The first witness of the risen Christ and Christianity was a woman. Jesus chose to show himself and speak to a woman first over the 12 male diciples.

it may be excessive force. look I was trained by a texas ranger to be an mp. in his story he was attacked by a black man irc and rather then shoot him, as he could have he had his flash light and cracked in the head and knocked him out. he was written up.

lethal force was meted out by the assailant. and stopped by a flash light and the cop was wrote up as he was attacked and had the flash light in his hand. was he supposed to drop the light and shoot him?

see how silly this gets? unless you have been trained in hand to hand, used a tazer, been sprayed and had to fight out of it to know what its like as usually you get hit by it when you are helped by your partner. you haven't a clue of the use of force.

its sad that he died. but lets be real here. a bad policy on use of force, or a correction doesn't imply intent of racism. this isn't the movies where things can be stopped by some movie martial artist. I have seen videos of guys getting tazed and knew the ride and pull the electrodes off and punch, stab and or kill the officer. any officer who has used this will tell you, you will have that one that will light you up no matter how well you might be in the "ring"

a bad day at work would have done him in. or simply the drive home.

There would be different outrage if the victim was Trump. Sorry i have to use that example. Imagine a policeman with his knee on Trump's neck for 9 minutes. Do you think we would be looking for excuses for the policeman's error of judgement? No there would be widespread condemnation.
But Trump is just another human being like Floyd. Or is Trump's life more valuable than a penniless drug addict?
