God: he, she or it?

Ahhh...... So YOU'RE the only one who has walked the face of this earth... even more so than Jesus Himself (who always referred to God in the masculine) who understands the true nature of God?

Or do the Jews not identify God as masculine? If they don't then I disagree with them.... I truly do. This isn't an area that the Bible isn't clear on. We must not shout where the Bible whispers.. but I cannot find a direct refernce to God... OT or New.. that does not refer to Him in the masculine.
 
understanding YHWH is always confusing. no matter how many times i try to put him in simple words it cant be done. i learned something from the jews. they dont bother pondering God like we do. they spend more time doing gods commands in the torah. we christians say that in a different way. we call it living the life and i cant count the times i heard a christian say i learned about god when i gave, when i became a parent, when i got married.

to jews i say that jesus is the living torah and walking torah. they like that. i also have said in chapel services. the chaplain loved that.

You said it yourself, God has no biological parts, which identify humans As either a Female or a Male. If he has no biological parts of that Nature, he is Sexless.

Nice to know that Christians still use strawmans.

he unless they are out there, im sure they have that. there are five sects of judaism. i bother with only two. orthodox and ultraorthodox, consersetivism and reformed and now constructionist. reformed refer to god as she.

the tanach i have from grandma says he. no difference.

GOD IS NOT A HUMAN BEING....

He isn't even of this planet.

Why are you trying to ascribe earthly biology to a Divine Being who isn't of this world?

dora, he is likely just trolling and not worth the time. the mind of the lost cant get that god is what he says in his word. words that he made and gave us breathe to say cant describe him. i have ponder god for days and still cant get his name or what he says on his nature.

I never said it did have a earthly biology, I am saying since it doesn't it shouldn't be called a he or a she.

so you are asking us and we made it clear that we wont rewrite our bible to say and it answered and said in the gospels when jesus speaks

or when God spoke to moses and says. what shall i say to the children of isreal when they ask me whom sent me? it is who it is.

I never asked for you guys to rewrite the Bible.

Did it preform procreation? Nope. It is not the a Father in any conventional term. He is our Creator. Just because he created us, does not make it a father or a he in any sense.
 
you say otherwise when you say that strawmen or that god isnt a he or she then why call him it?

because simply that isnt what the bible says. it says he is whom the world say he says'

the bible uses arms and legs of god figuratevely. hebrew idoms the right arm of god isnt a literal arm but is to relate to man so that he can understand as the hebrews have that idea of the right arm being strong and used like the word says. kings favorites had thrones to the right. jesus sits on the right hand of god and reings from that throne on the right hand of god.

Since the whole philosophy of Christianity is that the God who created this world, but is not of it, is reaching out to us for a relationship with Him... and He has revealed Himself to us as a male.... not a man, but male nonetheless.....

It is correct to call Him by what this... a Divine Being... chooses to be called.

Now, I understand that you don't believe in Christianity... and that's OK, you don't have to.

But, it's a leeettttllleee bit arogant of you to tell Christians that their own belief structure is incorrect and that we need to follow what YOU say to us is correct about our own God, WHEN YOU DON'T EVEN BELIEVE IN HIM!!!!

Can you see where I'm coming from? You seem to be a rational person, surely you can see that if our religious writings, our religious teachers and sages, our faith's believers and our Churches doctrines, all identify our God as male because that is the way He chose to reveal Himself to us, then it is correct for us to call Him male.
