God the Father and Jesus the Lord:

You have more textual evidence which goes against the trinity than you do for it.

Irrelevant.

And even when trying to prove the trinity through verses, the verses presented are vague and highly interpretive.

I know it sounds like I'm beating a dead horse, but what about Jn. 20:28?

Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing." 28 Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe." (John (RSV) 20)

How can you say this verse is vague?

When all else fails! Rather than proof text, I thought this might be more useful, but so far, I'm being ignored.

Do these guys think this is the first time such conversations have been held??? :lol

You're being ignored because Ott's arguments are so dang solid. Maybe someone will attempt a rebuttal if we provoke them with smilies...

:screwloose :screwloose :screwloose :nag :nag :nag :crazy :crazy :crazy

There. See if that gets any response... :lol

thomas died as a martyr hardly something that a doubter would do.

Define "clear verses". I see Jn. 20:28 as one of the clearest verses in Scripture. Thomas simply says "my lord and my God" directly to Jesus, and Jesus replies directly to Him, "You have BELIEVED because you have seen..."

Where is the ambiguity?

I already explained it. Re-read it. Just because you dont agree and dont accept it does not mean I did not reply. Please stop falsely witnessing. Jason has been repeating the same questions and comments in all my posts and threads. Please stop chiding in without knowing what is going on. It is so out of line.

well mr,moderator. thanks

i stated valid questions, as you arent able to answer them, you just to choose to ignore and quote ones that fit your view.

so i added the above from the psalmist david. address that. to which person in that case is the lord?
both or only the one with the capital L
if the "L" then that's the father. not the son. the son is the lower case.

I went back and looked and cannot find where you explained ANYTHING about Jn. 20:28, or what defines a "clear verse". You didn't even reply to this post at all. "Falsely witnessing"??? "Out of line"???...Really? Prove it. Simply point me to the post that addresses the above points. I'll even put them in logical order so you can paste your (nonexistent) answers.

1) Give me an exegesis of Jn. 20:28.
2) Define your idea of what constitutes a "clear verse".
3) Show me the post that addresses my post above.

You are trying to use abrasiveness to cover for your lack of proper exegesis. I've seen it many times before and it rarely works on these forums.

You don't even know what's going on in your own posts...Follow your advice:

Please stop chiding in without knowing what is going on. It is so out of line.

Yes, I did. so many posters asking the same question over and over. I will not find it for you. You have limited verses so it is not so hard for me to remember what has being asked. sheesh.

No, you absolutely did not, and are now lying about it. If you don't want to answer questions or cannot keep up, don't start controversial threads and call people out.

You won't because you can't and won't admit it. You can't give an exegesis of the verse either. You seriously lack credibility. :shame

Let the person telling the truth now be shown. Next time I say I've responded, please look it up yourself instead of lying about whether or not I responded to something.

Here you have it:

Let me try again . You state it is not a clear verse which seems to be your standard answer but please give me your answer to this question. WHY DID JESUS NOT REBUKE THOMAS FOR CALLING HIM (JESUS) MY GOD AND MY LORD?

Westtexas

I believe that translation is not clear. Jesus did not rebuke him because He knew Thomas was exclaiming to the Father too.

You see, it is not clear because we can read in more than one way.

It is clear to everyone except those with an agenda, who must deny the clear reading of scripture. Thomas called Jesus God and Jesus accepted this worship.

Wow. This is a new low on these forums. The above isn't from this thread, is it, Shad? First you call me out ON THIS THREAD, then refuse to answer the direct questions I post ON THIS THREAD. When asked to give answers, you say "I've already answered, look it up". This is a joke. It's obvious you have no credibility and are only interested in confrontation.

BTW, the above "exegesis" is laughable.

I must agree shad is here only to cause confrontation and be combative. I jumped into the other thread to help him and he turned on me because i refuse to deny Christ's deity. Rather than looking at the verses and learning truth he just wants to fight.

it may be time to walk away before we get ugly. i wont lock this but lets not make that hammer of the staff come down.

I am on many threads you trinitarians ask the same questions over and over. Why is it so hard to look up my posts when I say I already answered it? Your attitude is not Christian. It is just being argumentative.

BTW, the above "exegesis" is laughable.

Another belittling remark. You are good at that. Pride is opposite of what Jesus expects from His followers.

Sounds to me like you are talking about yourself.

Romans 2
1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

You sound angry because you cannot get anyone to respond to your posts. Your posts sound holier than thou and only Oneness is following the Bible. If anyone else doesn't agree with you, they are just cherry picking. That's what you have been saying over and over.

What makes you think you are so special and different from any of us?

Yes, you are observing you are better than any of us. That's what your observation is saying.
#2 You just responded to my post...lol

I responded to show your inconsistency. When you comment your oneness doctrine few people respond to you. I stopped, for example.
