God's plan for the Gay Agenda

I agree (pretty much) with what Lyric's Dad, SputnikBoy have had to say on this issue.

One definition of insanity that I have heard is when one continues to continue to display the same behavior with negative results. Over and over and over again expecting different results.

I have not seen or heard of anyone being helped by this kind of exchange here. One thing that is present in all homes that are abusive is that the abuser never tries anything different.

Yet when attempting other tasks they learn as they go. When something they do does not bring about the desired results they try something new.

To continue to feed those here who continue with this kind of junk is just as unfruitful. In my opinion they should be ignored.

These kind of threads should not go the distance that this one and others have gone. They are unfruitful. They help no one.

Peace.

.

So then, according to Lyric's Dad and some others here that agree with him,
I understand that
he is saying we are to not tell the homosexual or anyone
who is living in various sorts of sins about the "convicting" scritpures in
the bible, because they are "too offensive" to a person and wouldn't be a
good way to get them to come to Christ

And...

we shouldn't say anything of those scritptures but only
let them find out for themselves
while they are reading the bible
for themselves and in so doing, (Lyric's Dad) thinks, that God will
convict them. Thereby, leaving that out of our business to do so.

Oh so sorry, Lyric's Dad, but,
That is not what the bible teaches us to do.

What about those scriptures that tell us to show others they have sinned or are in error? Are they too offensive for us to use? :-?

If what you suggest is true (Lyric's Dad), I ask you this,
What pages and passages in the bible do you skip
while you are showing the bible to
your homosexual friends and others
who are living in various sorts of sins
and are living in unrepentance ?

Do you have some sort of adult bible that has all the "offensive" "convicting" scritpures blotted out so it looks like some government document that has all the secrets black marked out so as to not let anyone in on the truth?

:smt115 Maybe we should all blot out of our bibles the scritpures that have the
word pervert or fornicator or whoremonger or other offensive words or descriptions about sin in them because?

Black Magic Marker anyone?

thickpermanentmarker7od.jpg

:smt037 :silly:

:smt115 Hey, maybe we should ban icons because some of them are too offensive in what they suggest? Maybe we should all just let the sinners alone and let them continue to live in their sins without sharing the scritpures that speak of the sins and the consequences there of?

Yeah, just leave the sinners alone and scorn the Christians who show them they are living in sin! :smt116

Would someone point me to a thread on this forum that has ever dealt with fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, thieves, coverters, drunkards, revilers, and swindlers with the same zeal as that leveled toward homosexuals? Would someone point me to a thread on this forum that has ever dealt with these issues AT ALL?

Sure. I have posted hundreds of times in threads on these forums about fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, thieves.... and swindlers.

:D

gary.

the only time I have ever seen such posts, are in arguments over homosexuality, wher eit is said that they are just as bad as fornicators etc.

or in arguments about people that aere islamic or atheistic, and how htey are similar to fornicators, or adulteres.

and yes, america has freedom of speech.

What good is that freedom when you arent allowed the same civil rights and equality?

Sure, you should be able to say you resent soemthing, and disagree with it, But you should be unable to try to punish people for things that your religion deems wrong.

The first "Christian" sermon by Peter was about Jesus Christ, sin and repentance.

Peter said: ".... This man (Jesus) was handed over to you by God's set purpose and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put Him to death by nailing Him to the cross.

Peter goes on to talk about the resurrection of Christ and the pouring out of the promised Holy Spirit.

Peter continues: ".... Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."

When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"

Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far offâ€â€for all whom the Lord our God will call."

With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

Acts 2:14-41

Hardly the sermon that the "Jesus-loves-you" PC fundies, atheists and homosexuals on this board would have liked.

:o

Officer! Officer! I saw the whole thing! That man right there stole that old lady's purse!

Hold it right there buddy. Up against the wall and spread em. You're going to jail Pal for impersonating a judge!

What!? But isn't stealing old lady's purses against the law?

Maybe, maybe not, but you aren't the judge so who are you to say? Hope you got bail money. Maybe you could borrow some from that strange fellow there with the purse. I bet he has plenty.

I did not say to not speak of those things. I said that calling people names is reprehensible and disgusting and the antics of some on this board are just that and make me question if they have EVER met the true Jesus Christ or are just merrily going along banging their cymbals.

As for the rest of your post, as usual it was nothing more then a typical diatribe filled with silly little antics that merit no response and will therefore get none.

Coming here anymore is like a nice Sunday sermon at Westboro Baptist with good ol' Phelps pounding the pulpit.

Put words in my mouth and I only laugh.

Good post Gary.

The message of today is worldly syrupy and lacks the whole council of God which includes the preaching of repentance.

Acts 20:28-30 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Todays PC crowd would cry, "don't call them wolves and perverse! Love them into the Kingdom. You are not going to get them to see the error of their ways by name calling!"

This and several other discussions are proof positive that calling someone names does not cause them to change.

Afterall, in the Bible it was the Pharisees and Sadducees that were called a pit of vipers and nothing changed in them. It was the those who believed themselves superior to others that were called on the carpet and nothing changed. Today we have our church version of the self proclaimed superior members who still have not learned this lesson.

Now it's just getting ridiculas. Clear and unmistakable truth is now being equated with being a "pharisee".

That's just ignorant. I didn't write the bible, I just read it. You might benefit from some of that too.

Not just the parts that appear to justify your sinful behaviour, but rather all of it.

Do we fall short? Of course we do, but changing the truth of the matter is not the answer. Truth is truth and none of your thoughts will ever change that. Nothing you can think or say will ever change truth.

God is not a god subject to your human morality. You look in the mirror and go away forgetting who you are.

It is so much better when scripture is used to back up ones position in his/her service to God, instead of feelings and tickling the ears of others. Thanks BibleBerean for your clear concise interpretation given you of the Holy Spirit. God bless.

Baloney! BB digs out scriptures that are NOT aimed at those with homosexual tendencies but sinners in general ...of which BB is one.

Asaph, there is no point in discussing this with you. You are getting too emotional and that never turns out well.

More of that Assuming. Truly humorous.

And what truth are we speeking of here? Yours?

Sorry, the Bible, of which I choose to read the WHOLE thing. You might want to try that, says that we are to know them by their fruits.

I will stand on that and therefore push back your offering.[/quote:bb3de]

To be honest, and clearly as I said before, I offer you nothing. Period.

But the bible you reject, it has much to offer. You should read it sometime. Homosexuality is clearly and definitavely condemned.

That's not my own interpretation, that's not some old traditional teaching, it is so clear in the word that one has to actively reject it not to see it.

There is very clear scripture that points out their fraud too. I can surely post that too if you don't have a bible of your own. Not a problem.

Can't say anything to any "one" unless we include "everyone" huh?! I don't believe I've ever heard Gary once condone the behaviour of any of the aforementioned lifestyles, yet its odd to me that you (Sputnik) are quick to come to the defense of homosexuals in this thread.

The scripture that was given to point SPECIFICALLY to homosexuals by the poster included all of the above, Scott! And yet - and read my lips - it's only ever homosexuals that get targetted. There is nothing 'odd' about my 'coming to the defense of' anyone who I feel is being maligned by a bunch of Christian thugs who carry their Bibles like a weapon.

This thread is - yet again - about homosexuality and was initiated by Gary for no other purpose than to goad others into an argument. Don't let us kid ourselves! The Bible - and this DISGUSTS me - is yet again being used to condemn others to hell by people who evidently feel they have the right to do so. There is nothing 'odd' about my motives here, Scott. If I felt that you were being hounded into a corner by a pack of snarling dogs waving their Bible under your nose, I'd defend you too.

Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, its not hereditary and there is no gay gene. Homosexuals are just that because they choose to be. Making excuses for sinful lifestyles helps no one.

You have no idea what you're talking about here, Scott, and yet you come across as being the final authority on the subject. Such ignorance in regard to this issue is why we get to using fisticuffs. Ignorance would have to be the biggest sin of all. Who are the experts? Well ...I KNOW at least SOME people who know from their OWN experience as to what having a homosexual orientation is all about. And, while they don't know why they have this particular orientation, they DO know that it IS a part of them. Yes, they also feel that they are abnormal and this creates some distress. But the biggest distress they suffer is created by Christians.

Furthermore, I find NONE of them to be the evil people you and others on this forum would have them be. On the contrary, they could show some of you up in regard to Christian values and humility. One particular young friend - and I have to be cautious in case someone who might know me on this forum may suspect who it is - is one of the finest examples of Christianity that I've ever come across. This person is a virgin and will probably remain that way because he loves his God. He has purchased any number of books on the issue and has listened to many tapes in the hope of changing his orientation. We've talked for hours as to what may have 'caused' this predisposition to same gender attraction ...to no avail. He struggles on a daily basis because he's attracted to certain others of the same gender. He is currently relying on God to help him because the books and tapes and the condemning texts from the Bible have done nothing to take away the orientation. He avoids forums such as this since few people have anything other than ignorance on the issue going for them.

So don't you come across as some expert on the subject, Scott. You are FAR from it, my friend.

If you'd like to talk about witch hunts then we can talk about the slander of men and women throughout history that homosexual activists have claimed to be gay/lesbian without any fact other than the observation that they were not having promiscious sexual relations with the opposite sex.

Sorry, Scott. Red herring.

That stereotype is used so much these days. Its either you're a homosexual or prove yourself otherwise by a promiscious lifestyle, or we'll slander you. Don't think for one second that we're going to bullied around on this forum or on the world scene. The truth isn't hiding and those of us who acknowledge it aren't either.

Are you saying that, besides their having a sinful orientation, homosexual people are also bullies? The only bullying I see on this forum is by professed Christians against the homosexual person. And you don't seem to have a problem with that at all.

I'm getting to emotional? You don't like my approach to the truth, so you send me a warning as a moderator? Now I'm supposed to get in line with your twisted interpretation of scripture or I will be "booted" from the forum? Is that how you handle everybody who presents truth to you?

I'm here yet. How's that? Here I am. Boot me then!

But don't do it in private, be a man! State your case in public!

Asaph ...are you a sinner? If you are then EVERY scriptural text you and others may bring up on this forum to specifically target homosexual people apply to YOU also. Are you aware that you fall way short of perfection on a daily basis and that I, if I knew you and your weaknesses, could point you to scriptures that would condemn you? As long as the scriptures are being used to condemn we all need to put everything into perspective.

Christians LOVE the subject of homosexuality. That's why these kinds of threads are popular. No other group of people give Christians the marvellous opportunity to condemn others while at the same time make themselves look holy! I would suggest you take a good look into that mirror that you were talking about, Asaph.

But, since you want it this way, you are now being given an official warning for your behavior in here and your posts will be deleted as soon as I can get this referred to a moderator over this area.

This kind of behavior will not be tolerated.
