Bedtime for me, my friend, but I would leave you with the humble suggestion that when you are talking about not "going there" and writing off people as not worth forgiving, first give careful consideration to Matthew 6:15.

Forgiveness is easy if there is true repentance. And just saying "sorry" isn't the end of repentance... It's only the beginning. Forgiveness is a powerful tool not only for the weilder but in the life of the forgiven...especially if misused. (It will condemn someone to hell)

True humility and true repentance aren't something that can be taught. It certainly isn't often modeled in America...mostly due to an epidemic virus of pride in this country. Other countries have pride issues as well and I haven't been to them all; but American pride is a most virulent strain.
"Former" peeping Toms think that once they do their prison time or pay their fines they now have the right to be a towel boy at the local YWCA.

Former drug addicts think they should become pharmacists...so they can help.

OK. None of those who think such things are truly repentant of their former sins. Nor do they really have a heart for those they injured. (Which is a part of repentance)

And then the lack of true humility. (A necessary component to have repentance) tells these unrepentant that they can play footsie with their former sins...and perchance make it normal. Even though it inoculates people to wisdom. That someone might be saying what they believe we wish to hear so they can perpetrate more sin never once enters their minds.

And currently that's exactly what I see happening.

And as for bed? I already have been. I woke up early. Pneumonia seems to be interfering with my sleep. It definitely is interfering with my work schedule.

I am familiar with the scripture. I am also knowledgeable about Customs and practices of the Ancient Near East as well. And this liturgy is one of many memorized prayers. The one Jesus is known for using roughly translates as "Thank you God of the Universe for bread". Of course it's better in the original Hebrew. The meanings are a little fuller.
 
As far as I know, Paul Reubens has never molested any children and I'm certainly not going to perpetually judge him for getting caught in an adult theatre 25 years ago. No man is without sin, and if I was judged by people for my worst moments, I would be in deep poop.

Anyway, no one is suggesting that Reubens is opening up a daycare. :)
 
He was caught with indecent exposure. Not that others haven't had sex on the beach or in a car on the beach and not caught.if caught .that's the same crime.

Still I must say I still wouldn't feel comfortable around him with my kids,he surely had kids in his shows .I watched him.I do recall that.

Abraham was too old

Isaac was a daydreamer

Jacob was a liar

Leah was ugly

Joseph was abused

Moses had a stuttering problem

Gideon was afraid

Samson had long hair and was a womanizer

Rahab was a prostitute

Jeremiah and Timothy were too young

David had an affair and was a murderer

Elijah was suicidal

Isaiah preached naked

Jonah ran from God

Naomi was a widow

Job went bankrupt

Peter denied Christ

The Disciples fell asleep while praying

Martha worried about everything

Mary Magdalene was, well you know

The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once

Zaccheus was too small

Paul was too religious (and as Saul was a murderer?)

Timothy had an ulcer...........

He was on the stage during the adult movie. (Old theatres doubled as acting theatres as well as movie theaters)
And then he wasn't exactly dancing.

These old style theatres which showed these kinds of movies also were often used as casual sex meeting places in CA...
Roman bath house attendance is one thing but trying to be the star attraction at it is another.
Then to set yourself up as a wonderful icon to small children?

There's a real problem here. And I know I'm not the only one to see it either.
 
Can we separate his salvation from supporting his movies? Can I put his soul in the hands of God and make the conscious decision not to line his pockets with my money, even if it's 1/1000 of a penny that he'll see of my purchase? I can do that.

Amazing that there is no crime, no atrocity that will not eventually be celebrated by Hollywood, except perhaps to declare yourself a conservative. :chair The worse the crime, the tighter the embrace by their Hollywood brethren.
 
I know he wouldn't be allowed to teach kids,work in a daycare nor a Sunday school in my state.
