Scriptures were always meant to be reflections of thoughts and intents of the hearts. It is logically unlikely that any two reflections are going to be the same.
From what i see the heart was to sell a book using the scriptures.

Reflections of thoughts? Intents of the hearts? Seems I read somewhere they were more than that!
{39} "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me; John 5:39 (NASB)
One can observe a field of wheat and on the surface view they would all appear to be identical, however a closer examination will reveal the fact that every single last one of them is uniquely different. Again it would just depend on the reflector/viewer.Logically speaking, that last statement makes no sense. Nothing personal. It just doesn't make any sense.
Wow comparing Hal to Camping. now thats a stretch, how about comparing Billy Graham to Westboro Church.. I think the true argument with post tribers is only that other don't believe thier theory. I've study both side over and over. Quite frankly post triber leave to many question un answered.Read the book of Hebrews again and then tell me "apostolic teachings oppose" my "stated conclusions."
It's nice to see that you continue to err on the side of folks like Lindsey and Camping, though. At least you're consistent.
Ya got a point Free, Hal has way more failed predictionsWow comparing Hal to Camping. now thats a stretch, how about comparing Billy Graham to Westboro Church.. point, Hal believes in a Risen Jesus, by His blood we are saved, and can you quote these "more" predictions you speak of? Everybody has an idea about the end of the world. People are curious to know these things, no one has the corner market on it. These things are not salvation issues anyway. one question hitch, When does Jesus come and recieve us unto himself to live in his Father,s house "heaven"?Ya got a point Free, Hal has way more failed predictions
What do you think King David take would be on this?
it wouldnt be as bad if he did a commentary. like dakes did. i wonder with this new look whether or not i should move on from my church or any that do espouse that view
Not speaking for Hitch...point, Hal believes in a Risen Jesus, by His blood we are saved, and can you quote these "more" predictions you speak of? Everybody has an idea about the end of the world. :biglol Never thought of it quite like that.....King David is rarely appealed to as an authority on marriage.
Deu 17:17 - Neither shall he multiply wives to himself, that his heart turn not away: neither shall he greatly multiply to himself silver and gold.I'm going to assume Hal Lindsey has never had a rival murdered, so ironically he's probably a better husband than prophet.
All predictions listed in 'The Late Great Planet Earth ',, All predictions listed in 'The 1980s Count Down To Rapture, and lets not forget Planet Earth 2000 AD , in which Hal officially exchanged the famous FIG date of 1948 for the more convenient 1967, as his earlier predictions crumbled.point, Hal believes in a Risen Jesus, by His blood we are saved, and can you quote these "more" predictions you speak of?
So how about you free, the titles above contain quite a number of Hal's specific predictions, can you quote a half dozen that came true as predicted? Can you quote one?Everybody has an idea about the end of the world. People are curious to know these things, no one has the corner market on it. If you're going to quote JESUS on the eschatology forum I'll be forced to make a formal complaint. Not speaking for Hitch...
Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
The last day
Good advice.Chew the meat spit out the bones.

It's not an "attack" on someone's character if what's being written about them is true. For me, this type of attack falls lock step with the adage, "Christians are the only army who shoots their wounded."
