Rev. 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an Hour.
What do you think the Silence in heaven and half an hour mean? Please quote Scripture to support what you say or believe and stay on subject if you would.

Good OP, wow! What is your take? Does scripture even tell us? Blessings.

Well Im not sure. Thats one reason I posted it so someone who has insite to this might share what they know. Anyone? I would not speculate or venture a guess on this. There are lots of scriptures with the word silence in them but this half an hour is a mystey to me.

In Temple worship how long was the time it took for the priest to ( not going to be the correct words) purify himself get the incense filling the space etc?

Reminds me of the speechless chap who got caught without his wedding clothes just before he was tied hand and foot and thrown out of the kingdom (Matthew 22:12-13 NASB).

Doesn't really fit what's described in Revelation 7, but does lead well into the Trumpet Judgments starting in 8:6.

Food for thought.

Everything they did pointed to Christ the perfect sacrifice

This is interesting! Do you have a source for this?

The old saw that this proves there are no women in heaven. Anyhoo, scripture does not tell us but one could draw a conclusion...

Rev 8:1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.

Even the angelic host are speechless at what is about to transpire with the Trumpet plagues.

Lev chapter 16

Lev 16 occurred once a year on the Day of Atonement.

Today is that day, the day of salvation, in Christ.

But there is coming a final day, when all will be realized.

Lev chapter 16

Lev 16 occurred once a year on the Day of Atonement.

Today is that day, the day of salvation, in Christ.

But there is coming a final day, when all will be realized.

Today is A day of salvation, not the day...

2Co 6:2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)

Notice this is a direct quote from...

Isa 49:8 Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;

This is not the only day of salvation, that is the SDA false doctrine of the Great Controversy. This states that God is desparately trying to get everyone saved today because it is there only opportunity and if they do not hear the truth of God and say the magic words, they go to hell forever. On the other hand the Debvil is trying to get everyone he can to go to hell. If this is really the case, who is winning? Is God so limited that when He sets His hand to save humanity, He only saves a very few? The Great Controversy doctrine is false. If it were true, then all of those who lived prior to Christ are sizzling and popping right now...

Act 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

These folks have their (first and only) chance in the GWTJ after the Millenium...

Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

Going back to Lev. 16, I can see that time of preparation. Our High Priest, preparing His tabernacle.

Leviticus 16 is the Day of Atonement. The Day of Atonement is the shadow (now is the time for Col 2:16-17) of...

Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

The Devil is confined to the wilderness (word means desert) by the hand of a fit man (the angel in Rev 20:1).

Second thing that happens is...

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

And during the Millenium, the world will become at one with God...

Now lest you think thes Millenial prophecies are only for Israel...

Isa 19:18 In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.
Isa 19:19 In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.
Isa 19:20 And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.
Isa 19:21 And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.
Isa 19:22 And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.
Isa 19:23 In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.
Isa 19:24 In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:
Isa 19:25 Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
