Having Sex Before You Say I Do With Your Spouse Before You Marry Them!

Now you contend you are innocent of changing the topic of this string but your reference, specifically to Adultery in post # 65 was a topic changing, hijacking post.

Contrary to the personal slander, this is way off topic and that is rude to the OP. Will you never remain on subject and, with scripture, define you own charge, the charge in which you demonstrated the Legalism that began this exchange you are working so desperately to ¿win?

Are you becoming a legalist? What is the Spirit of that Law?
You are trying, very, hard to push my Reaction Button and youngster, that is not what Jesus would do! If you have read the, so called, New Testament, you have, I think, zoomed over the intent of the Law when Jesus extracted an answer from the lawyer and he summarized the first four Laws with Love the LORD with all your heart and He summarized the final six with Love your neighbor as yourself.
25 And a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 And He said to him, “What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?” 27 And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.” 28 And He said to him, “You have answered correctly; do this and you will live.”

Even the lawyer with the mission to trip Him up understood the Spirit of the Law and is demonstrated that knowledge by seaking the Spirit of the Law to Jesus, the Author of the Law. (John 1:1-3)

For those of you that believe that being joined together in sex makes you married, please address the following verses:

“If a man finds a girl who is a virgin, who is not engaged, and seizes her and lies with her and they are discovered, then the man who lay with her shall give to the girl’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall become his wife because he has violated her; he cannot divorce her all his days." (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NASB)
If the man does not pay the girl's father the money, she does NOT become his wife even though he had sex with her.
You are dealing with spiritual (God) matters from the human (visual) perspective. For God it matters not what man has set into motion nor does it matter to our God what any of us do. In the eyes of God, they were married before he reacted to his imagining.

I wasn't making a personal attack at you. I just was hoping to restore a focus of Love. I apologize if you took it as so.
With LOVE, of course, there is the always focused on Forgiveness of God as it is taught in the scriptures and there will be no Legalism taught. My goal here is the same as yours.

Getting back to the OP.

Having Sex Before You Say I Do With Your Spouse Before You Marry Them!

It is forbidden sex and it is called "fornication" in English, "porneia" in Greek and "zanah" in Hebrew. It encompasses a variety of immoral sexual acts including incest, adultery, sex before marriage, etc.

If anyone else has a different definition for sex before marriage, please state it clearly. If not, then tell me what the definition of "porneia" is.

I am sorry but this is a Bible Believing, Bible Living people on this forum and though this discussion is not placed where it belongs, Bible Study, it is a study of the Word of God and as I have pointed out previously, adding to or removing things the Bible says will bring, from God, curses no person can withstand and still, refusing to place your personal pride in the toilet, where it belongs and either admit fornication is not defined by the Word of God or give us the scriptures that clearly and concisely define it as being in agreement with your personal assertions.

I gave you three scriptures in post #70, but you evidently reject them. You say fornication is not defined in scripture. Is "porneia" or "zanah" defined?

And none of them defined fornication and most notable, you gave no comment on how any of them did, in your mind, define the matter. No, you were hoping, with that post that I was unstudied on this matter and would be befuddled and go away. You have done nothing but to embarrass yourself.

It is obvious that you have nothing to contribute from Scripture on this subject. All you have done in every post is try to belittle me as much as possible. It is interesting; as I looked back at your posts, not one of them referenced a single verse in answer to the OP or to any of my posts. The only four Scriptures you offered were used as rebukes against me (Duet. 4:2; Rev. 22:19; Luke 10:25-28; John 1:1-3). Sad indeed.

You are free to render any false decision you choose but the fact is I have asked you one question that must be answered before you deserve an answer to anything and you have, steadfastly, run to the left and to the right refusing to answer that single question.

There are two possible reasons for this; 1. You have no idea how to answer the question or 2. You are not as studied as you seek to present yourself and folks like myself that have spent the past quarter century of time studying the scriptures, you do not know what to do with.

In reality I cannot wait to reach the second portion of the lesson I am seeking for you to learn but until you learn to humble yourself by being honest, it means nothing. But I am trying hard to help you to grow spiritually, I have even, with scripture, answered the question every true Bible Teacher knows, but you didn't?

I never pick on people below nor above my station but our LORD did call me to instruct people in the true knowledge of Him. When I was in the Army I learned many things and one was the identity of false pride. I also learned that until a man puts that ego, false pride, into file thirteen, he will not learn.

I post this because few are they that served in the Army that built men from both male punks (me) and girly boys but this, being much disapproved of by the lessor military of today and young men's lady friends and mothers, this is what I am attempting here with this young man without being able to give him hands on instruction.

May God bless this and make a fruitful servant, willing to die for Him, just like Paul.

My honesty, false pride, ego, legalism, etc., have nothing to do with this. I offered Scripture to support my position. I commented on them, but not to your approval. I do not learn by the words of man. I learn by Scripture. If you want to teach me or correct me, then use Scripture. If you have no Scripture to support your position, just say so. If you do, then instruct me with them or use them to show me why my Scriptures don't apply. Attacking me personally will not accomplish your objective.

I have not personally attacked you, that is forbidden but pointing truth out is not. You have refused to either admit there is no scriptural basis for your false teaching and as I point out repeatedly, the scriptures you heaped onto the discussion did nothing to define your position, nothing, forcing you to add what is not said there.

Now, your second post, I am not even going to entertain it. If I err and if I am too slow to keep up, it is my responsibility to go back and reread, just as it is yours, right now. You need to do your homework and answer the question.

I replied to your false teaching with Scripture in post #51. Here is another:

Jdg 19:25 But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.
This is what you call marriage??? All these men married this poor girl who was raped and abused??? :nonono

I hear what your saying, however can you see what the motive of their heart was?

JLB

Yes, I see their motives were evil. Where in Scripture are we told that if your motive is just, it is OK to have sex with someone you are not married to?

Sorry. I'm not playing your guessing game.

It is not a game and you expecting me to do your homework is directly from the present dumbed down generation and is in no manor, God Like. This is not the game you seek to make it, this is eternal doom or salvation because you are trying the Hand of God. As previously pointed out, Duet, 4:2. Kt is not funny to tempt the hand of God.

I answered every single question asked of me in this thread. If my answers were not to your liking, so be it.

So, your telling me that my salvation is in jeopardy and I'm facing eternal doom because I won't answer your question (mainly because I don't even know what the question is)? And if I don't go back and find the question, I am "trying the Hand of God"? :rolleyes
