The simple answer to the question about what is sin unto death is the author is talking about spiritual death. It is not talking about physical death. The only way a believer will experience spiritual death is to deny Christ, even His resurrection. Apparently, some Jewish believers went back to Judiasm and denied Christ in public. If a believer does this, he is lost forever. But, he must fulfill the conditions of Hebrews 6:4-6. If any person still wants to grow in Christ, whether a baby, mature, or middle of the road, He will go to heaven.
