Did you think that actual giant flaming radioactive balls would rain upon earth? ONE star would consume our earth! This could refer to missiles or meteors/meteorites. But NOT actual stars.

The writer of Revelation did not have the technical knowledge we have today. A large enough, flamethrower-equipped, vehicle could easily be called a "dragon", and missiles "stars".
