How's your weather today, where you live?

No doubt a blessing for a furnace repairman! I've seen it snow in the mountains here before many times in the middle of summer.
When I was living in Palmer Lake, the Springs would get 3", Denver 4" -- we'd get 17"! First winter I was out there, I got 8 feet of snow, total, from October 26 to June 8. JUNE 8!

Kansas City: Blizzard conditions, heavy wet snow, 35, winds gusting to 25 mph. Snow tapering off by midmorning but continuing intermittently through evening. Six inches of snow since 3 AM, probably another couple inches before it slows down.

Sitting, watching Fox News and drinking coffee today, folks. Letting my car get buried in the driveway.

Yike...one 1/2 day of sunshine and it's snowing again....hard! I'd guess that we have had more snow fall in the last week than the whole rest of winter combined.

Farouk, we've got plenty in Kansas City. If anyone wants some, they can feel free to come here with as many truck as they can manage and cart it all off. Between the Thursday and Tuesday storms, we have about 15" on the ground right now.

Today, were going to be cloudy and 35. We got an additional couple inches overnight as this slow moving system just refuses to pass on through any faster. Let's all get behind it, face east and blow on it. Maybe that will move it on out.

Kansas City: Back side of the big snowstorm still slowly moving out of the area. A dusting of snow this morning, 32 for today's high. By the way, it's meteorological spring today, did anyone know that?

(Coulda fooled me)

Still snowing and cold here. This winter was worthy of being called a winter. I love it! The rougher a winter, the sweeter the spring.

MITTERFIRMIANSREUT, Germany -- A church built entirely of ice and snow has opened in Bavaria – a century after villagers first built a snow church in an act of protest.
The church at Mitterfirmiansreut, near the Czech border, is more than 20 meters (65 feet) in length and boasts a tower. It's made up of some 1,400 cubic meters (49,000 cubic feet) of snow.
The structure was bathed in blue light as it opened Wednesday evening with a blessing from Dean Kajetan Steinbeisser.
But when the ancestors of today's villagers built the first snow church in 1911, they weren't thinking just of architectural achievement.
Steinbeisser says: "It was meant as an act of provocation – believers from the village got together and built a snow church because they didn't have a church here."
