How's your weather today, where you live?

Kansas City: Cloudy and cold. 15 when we awoke, moving to a high of 26, and then we get hit by that snowstorm that's in Texas and Oklahoma right now. We're expecting 3-4" on the south side of the metro and upwards of 8" on the north side, and my hometown up by the Iowa border might get more than a foot.

Kansas City: Whiteout conditions, blowing and drifting snow, 8-12" before its over. The storm moved to the south overnight, so the heaviest snow isn't falling in northeastern Kansas, northwestern Missouri and into Iowa, it's falling here. Temp is just above 25. Going to be staying home, drinking a lot of coffee, working on my homework (I'm in a Masters program) and hoping the house monitors at work can keep the clients warm and happy.

We had a lot of wind and rain last night, and some heavy rain this morning, but now it seems the wind has blown the rain away--the wind is still blowing, though :)

S: So you guys have wind? so do we, this end...

It's been blowing away the snow coming down, not giving it so much chance to settle.

Still snowing and cold here. This winter was worthy of being called a winter. I love it! The rougher a winter, the sweeter the spring.

Claudya: Kind of 'I like the pain!' :) .

As a guy that is advocating tattoos and piercings you probably like pain. :)

I don't really think winter is pain. It's fun actually. But a rougher winter makes a stronger contrast to the first spring days. I remember a few years ago we had hell of a winter, it was freezing cold and we had snow until the end of march. Part of me was already starting to doubt that spring would ever come. People were annoyed and getting depressed. Then spring came within a single weekend, the last weekend of March when we switch to daylight saving time. I remember going to the sunday evening service of my church. After what seemed like an eternity of darkness and frost the sun was shining, there was a warm breeze and the sweet scent of new life in the air. :) It was like a taste of heaven.
Spring is God's metaphor for deliverance. But for deliverance to work there has to be something unpleasant to be delivered from.

I really couldn't be happy living in a part of the world that doesn't have seasons.

florida doesn't have much of any season. just nuclear hot and mild winters if that. I have no use for that evil demonic snow.

I totally couldn't be happy living in a part of the world that doesn't have seasons.

Evil, demonic.... ?! :shocked

That calls for retaliation.
