" I never knew you " --- Literal or Figurative

It's up to the individual to repent, since Christ's salvific work has already been done on the cross. It is not about to be done again.

I see you are admitting that Christ work of the cross is not enough to save all for whom God wants to be saved.

Jesus said to them " I never knew you " How could Jesus tell someone I never knew you, if He extend them a invitation ! Is He in the business of not knowing whom He extends a invite to ?

The way He uses the word 'knew' implies intimate relationship.

His invitation is to everyone---He knows everyone's heart. He will be judging every individual who ever lived, so you can count on Him knowing everyone, but not in that intimate family relationship He desires.

It's like our earthly fathers. They know the kids on the block, but they have an intimate knowledge of only their own children. They only play games with their own, give good gifts to their own, feed their own, cherish their own, and discipline their own.

aba:

The way He uses the word 'knew' implies intimate relationship.

Right, now we getting some where. Because Those He died for was intimate to Him, His Church, His , His sheep!

Notice eph 5:

23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of the body.

25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church[His body] , and gave himself for it;

You see, He never knew them like that, not to be their Saviour by giving himself for them.

He did not know them ever as part of His Body, that He is a Saviour too.

Are you beginning to understand now ?

franc:

God desires all men to be saved

Then its up to Christ to save them. Lk 19:

10For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

But of course applying your false premise of Jesus only dying for the saved would mean that only you and your 1% are the lost. Which would mean the remaining 99% of the world is not lost. It seems strange that it's only the elect that are lost...unless you think Jesus failed.:screwloose:rolling

Now look. Its Gods will that none should persih, that all should be saved ! Now Christ came to do His Fathers will jn 6:

39And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day

Now, Will Jesus save all that it is the Fathers will to be saved and not perish ?

Do you get it too? Jesus' perfect love sent Him to the cross so that God could have intimate relationship with all. Without the blood, such relationship is impossible.

Do you get it too?

Do you understand post 223 ? What do you understand me to be saying there ? Maybe it did not register with you.

Jesus spoke parables all the time...

He's God, he can't use similes? :shrug

He said that to imply something else? :readbible

So thats all you got, that Jesus spoke in parables sometimes ?

what you got?!??!/
:fullauto:fullauto:fullauto:thud::thud::angel2

Jesus can allude to one thing by saying another...

Don't get prideful...

Jesus is reading every word you and I type

Proceed accordingly
