If you were to write a book about yourself what would you name it?

Actually sin doesn't make one stronger even if the person survives its first attack. Back to the topic. :lol

It'd probably be named "I am Nothing" for in my studies I have realized that we are capable of nothing, and that everything comes from God. We don't do anything, we allow God to do His work through us.

I say this in my prayers sometimes also, I am nothing and You are everything.
A book about humility and being humble. It probably wouldn't sell many with a title like that in today's world. lol.

Yep, I know the area well.
My community is near west Kennedy boulevard. The other side of Dale Mabry. Not Hyde park, but that other end near the Causeway.

Out of curiosity what were you before you came to Christ? (This would pertain to your opinion of others who have not yet found Jesus)

I have traveled rt 60 all the way to tampa from my town. it was two lane then and that was 1994. of course not in all sections. this pic is dated 4-4-51.

Hey now, I'm not that old. :thud :nono :lol Being it's that old a picture, because I know that's Atlantic blvd. , you tell me the town.
you then if you know that town well enough either lived in vero beach, are from vero beach and moved to tampa. if you are still in vero. pm me. this is a small town. atlantic blvd wasn't completed then. its not even a complete road to mccansh park which is shown. this pic is so old that it has a few of the naval relics, ie the railroad, the navy hospital and also the ammo bunkers.

I'm not sure in what context to answer this question. I'll answer it a couple ways and hope I give you the answer that you seek.

I was everything. I had pride, and friends, knew it all, could do it all, and a lot of people looked up to me. I have always been interested in the bible and spiritual matters, but i didn't let it get in the way of my pleasurable pursuits. At the same time, I took it seriously and continued to read. it was only when I was about to die that I really reached out to the Lord. He was there for me too. My opinion towards others before I gave my life to Christ, was academic. Hey bro, there's too many coincidences to ignore, what do you think? and so forth. And had many spiritually oriented conversations about life, the universe and everything. Oh, and I was mechanically inclined and knew that even a bad business was better than a good job, so I always endeavored to work for myself and make money.

Now that I have given my life to Christ, it is much the same with a few differences. Now I know that I am nothing, and have persevered to set aside my pride and to humble myself before the Lord and man. And to seek a closer relationship with the Lord Jesus. In order for Him to increase, I must decrease. This isn't always easy, for I am fairly smart, but then again, I know nothing (very little) about the spiritual realm, and must lean not upon my own understanding and live for the spirit. Becoming as a little child to relearn life all over again is hard, and yet easy at the same time. To receive the truths about the real (spiritual) world in which we live, requires much study, observation, insight, and faith. I find that the less I do, and question, the easier it is to receive them. It's almost like, I'm just along for the ride in a way. Now, others who have not found Christ, look to be merely wanderers and I try to plant seeds to provoke thinking. I do not try to teach these people as much as just make them think. If they come out with something off the wall which I know is wrong, I do not tell them they are wrong, for many times this could turn one off to the truth (gospel). I pose questions to them which point a certain direction. And I also give my personal testimonies of what God has done for me. In this way, they think for themselves, and accept (realize) truths for themself. I don't try to convert people, we are only here to plant seeds, it is God who gives the increase. If I plant a good seed in someones heart, them that leaves something good that the Holy Spirit can come water later. Everyone is in a different place in their walk, whether as a babe, or as a mature being. I keep in mind that this is a spiritual war, wherein we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but with principalities and powers (spirits), so it is not the man who attacks me, but the spirits in his life. We have no way of knowing if the seed we plant, that person will take home with them, and the Holy Spirit will go and water it...and they turn into a mighty man of God, so the ministry is 24/7/365.
