amen to fasting and prayer - this is serious - i'm willing if there are others who want to join in unity

I'm in. I noticed in the OT that people would fast at times, but at other times, a corporate fast was called for. For all of the nations people. This may be what is called for now and I think it's a great idea.

amen - i have been praying for a few days now about finding a group that wants to fast and pray for this

or if God wants us to start one here then i am praying how when what why - like a vision from God of how exactly to do this so that we do this in God's power by His leading

Now that's funny that you should say that Brother, because the Lord told me something recently and it caught me off guard and it was about fasting. He had been teaching me about not going too far with fasting and so forth, and then the other day He asked me if I would not eat meat on Wednesdays or Fridays...


I'm not sure what that was about. I thought maybe for me personally because I really need to eat to keep my strength up to work. This is our busy season and the work is hard...so maybe he wanted me to pass this on here as a way for us to do a corporate fast? Just an idea...

Ok, thanks Brother. I think it might be a good idea to suggest the fast to be a fast from meat only on Wednesdays and Fridays for a period of time?

Not everyone has the inclination to do a days or week long water fast but would abstain from meat twice a week at a minimum in order to help. Then I think that others may want to fast a more intensive fast but that if they decide to fast more than from meat twice a week, then just do it and tell no one. God will know and I think that would be the proper way to approach this.

What do you think about that idea?

true to a point - but abortion is murdering a little human being - abortion is a term used to hide the fact that it is a tiny baby - a healthy society is each individual's choice - i can't chose healthy for another person - he has to make his own choice

but with abortion we are told WE must pay for another person to kill a baby they don't want - well if they didn't want a baby why didn't they take steps to prevent an unwanted pregnancy? - and if they didn't want to take any steps then let them pay for their own abortion - why should i be forced to pay for killing babies?

the thing is people don't abort puppies and kittens - no that is too cruel - they fix the adult animals so they can't have babies - if people can find a humane solution for unwanted animal babies then why can't they find a humane situation for unwanted human babies?

So a Wednesday fast from meat would be from tuesday evening at sundown to wednesday evening at sundown. Based on Genesis, and the evening and the morning were...the next day.

Yep, and lots of prayers! This is a great idea and will release the Lord to deal with these evil people and their agendas.

already doing it as of sundown last night since my last meal was before sundown yesterday - interesting you mentioned sundown to sundown - praise God

we should maybe keep reminding each other each tuesday and thursday night

The humane way . There are many people who can't habe children and desperately want them. Their yearning goes very deop. Both my children are adopted, as all our babies died. We fostered chidren too. I love my children dearly.

I believe fish is not qualified as meat, but perhaps it is best not to eat it on fast days. Luckily it was after sundown.

amen - adoption is a wonderful way to give unwanted children to someone who wants them - God bless those who give up their babies for adoption rather than aborting them - God bless those who love little unwanted babies and give them a home
