In Today's News

I hope they put a stop to it too but I don't even eat lettuce so I'm safe there. And hopefully nobody in my family will ever get their carjacked either.

Not always easy if the perp is a student who is supposed to be there on a daily basis. Some schools do have metal detectors to make sure no one walks in with a gun who isn't supposed to have one.

Metal detectors are incredibly ineffective. They should be the lowest budget priority. If you had a 2 hour check-in procedure like at an airport to get to your first class, you'd find some way around it. This actually increases the chances of a perp getting in, past whatever attempts are made at controlling entry.

Also, have any mass school shooters been students, while they were going to school as normal? I thought they were all previous students, returning and out of place?

http://fox8.com/2018/04/17/barbie-has-a-last-name-and-the-internet-is-going-crazy/

That's all for today's news and have a great day! :)

Barbara Millicent Roberts. My sisters had Barbie dolls, along with their easy bake oven. I don't think they ever called their dolls by the Millicent Roberts part.

I vaguely remember her last name being Roberts now. I don't remember where I heard that though. Never heard of the Millicent before though. I used to have an easy bake oven as well and I absolutely loved playing with it along with my Barbies. My easy bake oven is probably what got me hooked on baking. :)

The teacher should probably make breakfast for the children before the test starts though. So they can concentrate fully during the test. No reason for firing though, just verbal instruction on the proper way to do things.

Well, one griddle for a whole class, and when the test has to start compared to the beginning of the class period, that imposes some restraints.

I don't know that the phrase "no good deed shall go unpunished" actually originated in public schools because of things like this, but I think so.

Could prepare the meal before students arrive. Munch for a few, then test.

If his students don't get breakfast regularly, then a meal before the test could improve performance.
