I didn't know that bears ate dog food. Oh well, dog food must be tasty.
I think they have better understanding of metal nowadays. They can build sturdier ships.

Hey everybody, welcome to another edition of today's news.
Finally they are doing something about those annoying robocalls. Many people don't even answer the phone nowadays because the signal to noise ratio is so absurd. A lot of youngsters just talk to each other by text, instead of voice. That way they don't have to fend off people from around the world trying to get them to put a virus on their computer, or run some other scam on them. They don't have to put up with rings all day long with ads on them.
The robo phenomenon has changed the way people talk to each other. Made it more impersonal. If they eliminate robocalls, maybe people will answer the phone and talk to each other again.
Agreed. Robocalls need to go. I know that some of them are real people trying to make a living but most of the time they're just scams.

I periodically get one that is a recording of President Trump saying something like "I'm gonna run for you, I'm gonna fight for you, I'm gonna WIN for you!". I think I get the opportunity to donate but I hang up.

Smart move. You never know, it could be the President.
Political robocalls are allowed to dial landlines without permission, but not cell phones. I'm not sure why cell phones are protected, but not landlines. People are fleeing landlines in favor of cellphones (especially youngsters), so maybe the extra intrusions on landlines are part of the reason.
The signal to noise ratio is not pleasant on some landlines. Who wants bells ringing in their homes all day long?
