...the penalty for apostacy...

Then there are groups like ISIS that believe that the majority of Muslims are heretics, and must convert to their belief system. Historically, they would target the majority for awhile, then the majority would rise up and eliminate them. This used to mostly play out in the Middle East, without outsiders ever knowing about it. Nowadays, better transportation allows them to export their beliefs globally.

As we know it's a fact the majority of our Muslim friends are peaceful. It's the front line jihadists at the top of each branch that cause the problems.

Yes.

Wherever there is a religion and the penalty for apostacy...

Europe used to be similar. During the 30 Years War (1618 to 1648), about half of the population of central Europe was zapped by marauding armies. Various Protestant denominations battled each other, and they all battled Catholics. Entire villages were wiped out (men, women, and children). Then the people of Europe rose up and said no more. At the Peace of Westphalia, the people were given the right to choose their own denomination, rather than have one imposed on them by local rulers. There were still some bodacious local persecutions (many American settlers were fleeing religious persecution in Europe), but Europe in general got a lot more peaceful. The settlers who fled to America vowed that their children would never experience similar, and put freedom of religion in the US Constitution. Americans choose which denomination to join, and using violence to "convert" people is forbidden.

Its time for the peaceful majority in the Middle East to do likewise. Win converts through brotherly love and sensible preaching.

So Islam needs reform.

There is no chapter and verse in the gospel saying 'whoever change his Christian religion kill him'. That's called a death cult.

Parents should be careful about allowing their children to swim in warm lakes. Their immune systems are not yet fully developed. The elderly should also be careful, as well as anyone whose immune system is not in tip top shape.

Overcrowding in many hospitals is leading to people like that pregnant woman being sent home too quickly. The American system could use improvement.

May the Lord bless you.

I agree and thank you may the Lord bless you as well. :) Hey everybody I have GREAT news all around today! First of all I'm feeling MUCH better than I was yesterday, :biggrin2 and second of all there's only two more weeks to go (from today) until my second annual spooktactular virtual Halloween party!:sohappy So anyways we don't have a very long report today and I'm going to start of today's news with an article that I forgot to post yesterday. :yes

First of all in today's news I just found another reason to love The Backstreet Boys. As they recently surprised a group of fans with Down Syndrome with a meet and greet before one of their concerts. Here's more on the story and forever a BSB fan!! :biggrin2

And in order to celebrate the return of Sunday night football (after eleven years) Pepsi is turning orange. Here's more of the details. (I debated about posting this but even if you aren't from Ohio I think that this is still interesting. :chin)

Also a school custodian showed a very special act of kindness towards an autistic child that was having a rough day at school. Here's more on the story. :')

And also New York City schools officials are currently pushing to have a ban on chocolate milk. Here's more of the details. :rolleyes

Finally in today's news the Nebraska Humane Society was angered and disturbed when a dog was found in deplorable conditions after being rescued from a home late last week. Here's more. :sad

That's all for today's news! Have a wonderful rest of the day and stay tuned for more news to come. :yes Also, I just had to post this now. :biggrin

having been to the stan, im skeptical of this reform happening in my lifetime. I could use the central Americas to make the same point. bolivar wanted what the us had to offer but knew the powerful families wouldn't allow it and had to work with them to free the colonial areas from spain, and thus in short we still have the corruption ripe in that area.

I am glad that you are feeling better today. Good health is very important.

They might have to find some other source of calcium for the children, if they won't drink unflavored milk. Food has changed over the years. In days of yore, people seemed to just stay naturally thin. Their appetite told them when they had enough to eat. Nowadays, the food is different. If people eat until they are full, many tend to gain weight. Most adults are overweight, and maybe 1/3 are obese. Today, many people have to count calories, and only eat until the numbers add up to their daily quota.

Research indicates that is is mostly the educated professionals who stay trim. I theorize this may partly be because they have the math skills to keep a running tally of how many calories they have eaten that day. I don't know if simply banning chocolate milk in schools will get the job done. They should teach children how to count calories. Warn children that food has changed, and they are likely to gain weight if they don't count how many calories they have eaten that day.

Anyway, may the Lord bless you.

Thank you and may the Lord bless you as well. :) Going outside and getting fresh air and sunshine as well as do my saline solution squeeze bottle (if you don't know what that is I can show you) seems to help me. It was a bad idea for me to lay down today though as it clogged my head up and made it all heavy. :sad

Fresh air is good. I wonder if you are allergic to something?

I have an Ecobreeze 2 window fan to bring fresh air into the house. It has a Merv 13 filter to filter out the pollen before the air enters the house. Perhaps something similar would help you?

Thanks, but if you're talking about a vaporizer we already have one. :)
