In Today's News

I'm trying to figure out how this is legal. If police are allowed to park on the side of the road and specifically target and pull over trucks for an inspection. I thought there had to be a reason to pull people over. I seen it a few times now at the same spot with trucks pulled over.

On a side note I don't have anything against the police they do a good job in general and I know officers just do what there told to do by there highers so are just doing there job.

I just don't agree with having specific targets. I don't even think it's legal. Maybe it is, I don't know every hundreds of thousands of laws. I don't think you can specifically target someone just because of the vehicle they are driving. There has to be reason to pull someone over. What's the reason, they are doing nothing wrong and are just driving a truck going along there daily business?.

They used to park down the road form my local and wait for people to leave and then pull us over for breath tests until someone complained then they suddenly were not there anymore.
1,you have limited rights on driving since its a privilege.they can set up dui check points and simply ask for id and if it appears probable you are under the influence conduct a field sobriety test

Everytime I have been though a DUI check point they just tell me to speak into some device to see if it picks up alcohol. As far as I recall I never got asked for my licence or any ID.

I have been through other check points in the past that checked your licence, safety certificate, and registration. But still, there should be a reason to ask people for that. Like there is no reason to randomly waste peoples time. What is the reason and excuse to make people stop at a check point and show something when there is no reason behind it.

It's basically calling everyone a potential suspect and criminal if there is no reason.

It's not a good look yet people have been conditioned to accept it.

Public roads. They belong to the state. Anyone on them is subject to inspection at any time.

They need a search warrant for your home. Private property.

Probable cause for your car, otherwise they can strip, search you just cause while walking down the road

They don't use a breathelyser without cause here .

Opinions of rulers vary on this question.

"It is better to be feared than loved, if you cannot be both." Niccolo Machiavelli

Rulers?. Are they not just human beings like everyone else?. Why should another human being who I don't even know have the right to tell me what I can and cannot do?.

So the people (public) are the government (people)...

Not exactly. The people just elect their rulers. They are still rulers. They can put you in prison if you don't obey them.

In some places like the USA, the people don't even elect their rulers. The electoral college elects the ruler of the USA. Doesn't matter who the majority of people want.

Majority rules is mob rule.

I been researching all the different causes of concrete cracking and I cannot find climate change anywhere, only on the media.

Q. What cause concrete to crack?
A. Not climate change.

I like the GPS trackers to protect people's packages. They should do that everywhere. Wire up the cities with cameras like London has too. Keep us safe.

That's a good idea to use synthetic frogs. Don't want the children to be needlessly exposed to bio-hazardous material and chemicals.

Wow, that heat and dry air are the same things that happened to California this summer. Its nice of Toni Doherty to rescue that koala.

May the Lord bless you.

I dissected a frog back in middle school or high school but it was already dead, but I agree with you though. It's better to keep both kids and animals safe and I think that it's a really good idea. :yes I was shaking my head about that one couple that got sued though. Liam should be allowed to play outside just like all of the other kids in the neighborhood. :nonono Anyways, may the Lord bless you as well. :biggrin

The government must love you. Another person who is happy to give away there privacy and human rights in the name of security so they think they feel safer and it works. Do you want to pay taxes to spy on yourself?

All you get on security camera is people who have already commited offenses.

You know who feels safer?. Probably the police, I mean, who would not feel safe in society with the legal right to walk around with a gun, taser, cuffs, and a bullet proof vest. I know I would feel safe.
