They do drug and drive testing here. Although not as common as breath testing. You have to give a sample of your saliva. I understand the whole thing about not driving while under the influence of something as it can be dangerous but making people give there saliva is a breach of human rights. That's the thing, the public are happy to give up there human rights and hand them over to the government.

In reality no one should have the right to force you to give them a sample of your saliva. Obviously you can refuse to give a sample
but then you would probably get summoned to court and have to explain it to a judge.

Once again I am not blaming the police as I understand they don't make the rules. They just doing there job. If people have a problem with something they should write a formal letter to the government instead of looking down on the police.
You can refuse a sobriety test but they take your license for life .

Can people apply for a work licence if they lose it?. So they are allowed to drive only to and from work. Otherwise it's a nice way to put a working family on the street or welfare.

Hello everyone, welcome to another edition of today's news. :) We have a rather short report to do today so let's get right to it then shall we? :salute

First of all in today's news is something that I forgot to report yesterday. Due to high winds the Macy's Parade might not have its famous balloons this year. :nonono

And a Colorado couple were recently charged with animal cruelty after a video surfaced of them dragging their horse down the street. Here's more. :sad

Also if you just happen to be in Cleveland Ohio this weekend and have children Scuba Claus is coming to town! :biggrin2

And also whether this a Christmas miracle or just a coincidence I still find this really touching. :')

Finally in today's news the little koala that was rescued from a bushfire has recently died. Here's more on the story. :crying

That's all for today's news! Have a wonderful rest of the day and God's blessings on you. :biggrin

I believe so .

Safety first with balloons.

I like the Scuba Claus story.

Poor koala.

May the Lord bless you.

It turns out that the winds didn't wind up being so bad and I'm watching the parade right now and I agree with the other two things that you said. :) Anyways, there will be no news today so happy Thanksgiving and God bless! :biggrin (Not because it's Thanksgiving, just because there really isn't enough interesting news articles.)

Kia ora (be safe/healthy/well) is quite a nice greeting.

It only takes seconds to Google it.

But it's always a lose lose situation. One company uses Te Reo and its not racist, another company uses Te Reo and it suddenly becomes offensive.

Air New Zealand praised for speaking Te Reo.

Outrage Coca-Cola speaks Te Reo. Whanau just means family. Share a coke with family. What's so bad about that.

This idiot flipped out on the road and killed two people, and only lost his licence for 5 years and only got 4.10 years in a cage.

In 5 years he is free and can drive again. Who knows he will probably get out way before then on conditions, but anyhow he can drive again in 5 years. Thats the justice system.

The double standards in the system is amazing. One person gets this another person gets that.

Another flip out in Londonstan.

Hey guys I'm sorry that I'm so late but I was just at the mall. Anyways, there will be no news again today so have a wonderful weekend and God bless! :biggrin

Oh, imagine my shock. The nutcase who flipped out in Londonstan was a convicted terrorist who was wearing a tag.

I'm still wondering when the government is going to be held responsible for public neglect. They allow these terrorists to walk the streets and flip out and kill the public.
