In Today's News

News outlets definitely have a bias. Some networks are left, and some right. Freedom of the press allows both to publish, and the people to decide what news is real.

Search engines are private enterprises. People get to choose which ones they use. There is bias in them too, and sometimes even entities paying to be included in the search results (advertising).
 
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." US Constitution 1st Amendment

Europe is a bit different. The US Constitution guarantees freedom of the press. Those biased on the left and right both get to publish.
 
People are not allowed to slander others in either place. Must tell the truth about people. The whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
 
Maybe I wont post a link to the article. If someone is so shamed why would they go public.

Some people genuinely need help and there should be nothing to be shamed about. Nothing wrong with needing help, asking for help, or recieving help.

And believe it or not a zoo in Egypt has been accused of painting stripes on a donkey and passing it off as a zebra. :shock Here's more on the story.

Also another story of child neglect as a woman in Tennessee was arrested on Tuesday after she left her child in a hot car while she drank inside a restaurant. :mad Here's more of the details.

And also the Cleveland Police Department is currently under investigation after two men were shot last evening. Here's more.

I know, I'm still trying to figure out why she got arrested for it though. It may be silly and stupid, but unless she was actually threatening the officers I don't think that she did anything illegal. At least it didn't sound like it.
 
She was endangering herself, jumping from girder to girder like that. They arrested her to protect her from doing anything else dangerous until the drugs wore off. A judge may even mandate treatment.

Oh okay so basically they just took her into custody not to jail. At least I think that's probably what happened then.
 
She is in Wayne County Jail. She will most likely have to explain her actions to a judge, who may order drug treatment or a mental competency evaluation. They don't want her running free until they figure out why she did such a dangerous thing. Until they determine if she is a threat to herself or others.
