In Today's News

Here's a few news announcements that doesn't have to deal with the media news at all. First of all, there will be no news today. I just made the call and woke up when I didn't find anything that interested me. Any interesting news stories that I do find later in the day will be a part of tomorrow's news instead since I decided to give myself a break.




Second of all, I am feeling much better than I was yesterday and so far I'm having a pretty good day. :) Third of all this is very important. Next weekend I am taking a little road trip so I won't be here. Well, I'm getting back Sunday but I'm not really all that certain when I'm getting back so I just decided to take the whole weekend (Saturday and Sunday) off. This is just a quick heads up about it. :yes Alright, with all of that being said enjoy the rest of your weekend! :biggrin

My wife wants to go to a hummingbird festival in "Land Between the Lakes" area next weekend. Supposed to be filled with hummingbirds. Hopefully they will leave my food alone.

But I like hummingbirds... well they amuse me. I watch them fight and squirt the nectar at each other.

Really? I like humming birds too. :) The reason that I'm not going to be here though (to do the news since I will only have my tablet with me) is because I'm going to Pittsburgh to go and visit some relatives. I will be also stopping at a couple of places (one being a museum where they have a Mister Rogers exhibt) that I will be posting pictures of on here after I come back. I have to admit, I'm also rather excited about the pool our hotel has. :biggrin Last year when we went to Pittsburgh, we stayed at a hotel with a really cool pancake making machine.
 
Christians made up 0.23% of people ressetled in the UK last year.

Over 11% of Syrians are Christian.

Assad tries to protect Christians, because they tend to support the current authorities. Assad is actively trying to make many Sunni groups leave Syria, because they are fomenting rebellion against him.

Saddam also tended to protect Christians, as they tended to support current authority. Iraq became hostile to Christians when the new regime took over. Christians are now almost extinct in Iraq. One wonders if something similar will happen in Syria if Assad is ousted. Revenge against anyone who supported the current authority, Assad.
 
He probably wants all jihadists to leave because they want submission and are rebellious.

He wants anyone to leave who won't submit to his rule. That's why he is bombing selective civilian areas. Civilians in those areas are primarily Sunnis who want to oust Assad (who they consider to be a heretic). Many civilians give covert support to warriors battling Assad. Assad wants civilians in those areas gone. All the way gone.

Many arrive in Europe furious with Christians, because many Christians in Syria support Assad. Many warriors want to pursue a violent jihad against Christians in Europe, and many civilians covertly support the warriors. Violence in Syria has filled many with hatred and violent thoughts.

They should stop that war in Syria stuff already. It has gone on too long.
