Interpretation of Prophecy: The pieces of the puzzle

Now if you can figure out why two witnesses of Christ are spending time with a drunken prostitute who persecutes the saints of God you win a chicken dinner.
By your other responses I see you are offering a fair challenge, without disagreeing.

It's pretty simple, because the words are purposely wrong. Spending time a place, does not mean spending time with the place, as in keeping company with them.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee...

Jesus prophesied against Jerusalem itself within Jerusalem, without spending time with the drunken whores of Jerusalem. At least not while they were drunkenly whoring at the time.

Another example of saints dwelling within cities of low renown, without partaking of their sins, is the church at Pergamum.

I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

Antipas was not dwelling with Satan, but with walking with God in Satan's streets.

This of course also includes the apostles of the Lord killed by the leaders of Jerusalem, while they ministered the gospel of the cross within Jerusalem. Steven specifically was not spending time with the Jerusalem of false leaders, where the Lord was slain, when testifying against their errors.

The two witnesses of Rev 11 will be the last ones sent to Jerusalem by God, before the Lord Himself returns to that great city where He was crucified.

I have no problem understanding what he is saying.Ive already said,I've known mystery Babylon was Jerusalem for about 20 years or so.

I also said I would be wasting my time typing anything for you and I was right.A complete waste of time.Time for me to do some work.
I have found that person to disagree just to disagree. He never says anything pertinent to any points made by others.

Socrates may have been a gadfly to Athens, but at least he specifically addressed what the Athenians were believing, saying, and doing.

Scripture does not say God sent the two witnesses of Jesus. And yes, they spend 1260 days in the company of the prostitute who kills the saints and prophets and she never lifts a finger against these two .

What did Jesus say about "his servants who do evil" ?
What did he say they would do?

Yes. Do some work.

Scripture does not say God sent the two witnesses of Jesus.
He gives them power on earth to be His witnesses, and all His witnesses are sent by Him.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent?

All Scripture is taught by Scripture, which is the pieces of the puzzle coming easily together.

They will be preaching the gospel that Paul preached, and earning themselves the same hatred and wrath the unbelieving Jews had for Paul. However, at that time they will also be earning the hatred and wrath of Christians proselytized to the last false apostle's lying gospel.

And yes, they spend 1260 days in the company of the prostitute who kills the saints and prophets and she never lifts a finger against these two .
That is not specifically true. Scripture says they will have fire out of their mouths to kill them that do come to hurt them. It is only at the end of their testimony on earth, that God will allow them to be killed. It was much the same with Paul, who was stoned three times, yet did not die unto death, until the end of his own testimony and race on earth was finished.

The resurrection of the two witnesses is along with all the saints of history in the first resurrection of the blessed, who will all then ascend into the air with clouds to meet the Lord in the air.

That will be when the earth is without any faithful witnesses of God, and only the angel flying through the air will still be preaching the gospel of Christ. That is the very hour of judgment to come upon all the earth from the Lord.
What did Jesus say about "his servants who do evil" ?
At His coming and first resurrection of the saints, they will be left with the hypocrites on earth, rather than changed with the faithful saints that were also alive and remaining. The dead unfaithful and wicked servants, such as Korah and company, will not be resurrected from the dead to meet the Lord in the air.

What did he say they would do?
Be appointed with the unbelieving inhabitors of the earth unto the wrath of the Lord and His plagues soon to come from the air.

Scripture does not say the two witnesses have received the holy ghost. It only says they have power to shut the heavens so that it does not rain and that they have power to strike the earth with as many plagues as they wish.

If I'm not mistaken the king of the norths armed forces who occupy Jerusalem for those 42 months, have the power to do those very same things.
I'd also like to add that while Jerusalem reigns over the kings of the earth during those 42 months, this man causes them to reign .

Daniel 11:39-40
39 Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

It's not until the beast that ascends from the abyss and attacks the armed forces occupying Jerusalem after those 42 months that the two witnesses are killed. They did a good job protecting the prostitute but not good enough..

PS,
Mathew 24:48-51
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Ohhh boy. That prostitute Babylon is drunk. Those two evangelicals better hope they didn't drink with her for those 42 months. They better hope they didn't smite their fellow servants while they are there as well.
You know how some of those evangelicals love the king of Babylon.

Daniel 12:4
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

I've always loved going here to get a puzzle peace and going there to get a puzzle peace and comparing the edges to see if everything lines up .When you find two peaces that fit together it makes you so happy .Some times it's just astounding the things you learn collecting the peaces. But when they start forming a picture ,it can be down right stunning the things revealed.Just jaw dropping WOW.

Interpretation of prophecy of Scripture is not as hard as we make it out to be. The key is to understand that prophecy is a puzzle with many verses scattered throughout the Bible, that are the pieces that must be arranged in order to see the whole picture together.

Peter's admonition that no prophecy of Scripture is interpreted privately, therefore means that cutting corners of certain pieces to make them fit is a puzzle of our own making only.

Peter calls such verse cutting and reshaping, wresting the Scriptures and destroying the truth of prophecy of Scripture. One such obvious wrestling with Scripture is by changing the normal meaning of words into some personal definition of one's own making.

Here is a simple example of piecing a part of the prophetic puzzle together with verses written in different parts of the Bible:

And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (Rev 11:8)

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: (Rev 17:1)

And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Rev 17:5)

And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (Rev 17:18)

That great whore Mystery Babylon, is that great city spiritually Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified: Jerusalem.

The part of the puzzle written here is not all in order of the Bible, but is written in order to fit together in a cleanly spoken way.
Oh,I just noticed you didn't have this verse in the op.
It corresponds to your other verses of Jerusalem.

Revelation 16:19-21
The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath.
Every island fled away and the mountains could not be found.
From the sky huge hailstones, each weighing about a hundred pounds, fell on people. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible.

Of Course this takes place after the abomination of desolation is placed in Jerusalem. They make those powerful these days I've read the updraft from the abomination of desolation can pick up automobiles and cast them back down to the earth.Very powerful stuff.

Well that's what Jerusalem gets for worshiping the beast,it's image and receiving its mark .Well they were warned what would happen for worshiping the beast.Everyone in Jerusalem has been warned, including the two witnesses.

Revelation 14
9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:

This is a fair attempt, but not according to Scripture. God has spoken of having servants that were not His people, such as king of Babylon and Cyrus the Great. But He has never spoken of His witnesses not being His people, nor having His power of Spirit to do so.

Peter points out that the prophets of old had the Spirit of Christ in them to prophecy by (1 Peter 10), as well as were moved by the Holy Ghost to do so (2 Peter 1). No man can be a witness of God in the Old or the New Testament, without having and being inspired by His Spirit. It's false doctrine to suggest otherwise, unless of course you can show any instance in all the Bible, where God's witness does not witness by His Spirit.

Those two are God's witnesses, which is to witness of Him. They are not just two men given powers to affect nature. The devil's servants can do that.

Also, they are given power of God to be His witnesses, like Moses and Elijah of old. Scripture does not say they actually use those powers to smite with plagues and shut down the rain. They have power to do so as often as they like. They may not like to do so.

The only power we see them having and using, other than to witness for God, which is now and forever the everlasting gospel of God and the Lamb, is fire proceeding from their mouths to kill the wicked that try to hurt them.

At the end of these last days before the Lord returns, there will be supernatural powers given by Satan and God on earth, in warfare over the truth of who is the true Christ coming in the flesh. Jesus or one coming in his own name. So far the only name of the last great antichrist beast is a number: 666.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

At this time, he remains a no-name beast, and anyone trying to give him a name other than his number, is as foolish as trying to predict the time of the Lord's coming again, which also must include the time of the beast's rising.

I must wait to answer your other points later.

No,scripture does not say these two witness for God nor does it say they preach the gospel.
It says they have power to shut heaven so that it does not rain and it states that it will not rain for 1260 days.
It say they torment people which is the exact opposite of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
It says they kill people which is another thing the gospel teaches not to do.

Like I said though. The armed forces of the king of the north occupy Jerusalem for the same 42 months as the two witnesses. They arrive at the exact same time and they can do what the two witnesses can do

And yes,Jesus speaking of his servants said.

Mathew 24:48-51
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Like I said, there no reason for me to waste my time with you.You can't even agree that Jesus is 100 percent correct in his statement that Jerusalem is responsible for ALL the righteous blood shed upon earth. The only thing you will do is try to find a way to discredit his words which you are now doing.

Mathew 23:35
And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

It's a shame that you can't even come into agreement with Christ.

Your claim of it adding to or taking away Scripture, is just your disagreement, without proof.

The reason you give no proof, is because you consistently refuse to even read what is written.

As I said.

Since great Babylon is Jerusalem before the Lord's return, then the question answers itself, by reading what is is occuring in Jerusalem at the time.

Not with you. You don't so much as sniff, especially not read.

Do you believe Jesus could be wrong and Jerusalem not be responsible for ,
"ALL THE RIGHTEOUS BLOOD SHED UPON EARTH"
and that a different city could be responsible for the blood of prophets and of saints and of all that were slain upon earth?

Mathew 23:35
And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

Revelation 18:24
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth

Do you believe Jesus could be wrong in the slightest instance?

Mathew 23:37
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones God’s messengers! How often I have wanted to gather your children together as a hen protects her chicks beneath her wings, but you wouldn’t let me.

Do you believe Jesus could be wrong in the slightest instance?
There is so much more to what is written in Matthew 23:37 and that of why Jesus was lamenting over Jerusalem. One needs to search out the history as who the governing powers were over Jerusalem at that time that ordered the deaths of the Prophets and Gods messengers including Christ own persecution and death.

When you put it all together starting with Nimrod and the Tower of Babel, being the first king of the Babylonian Empire clear up to today with a revived Roman Empire then you will see all the pieces fit properly in order of the grand design.
