i hate to say it but i dont believe in my country anymore. in a way i feel God is abandoning it (but not His people). or maybe i should say, we abandoned God so God pulled away from us. i believe in the values and morals of this country's founding fathers, who used to Bible as a guideing step to building this once great nation, but these days, these overtly "liberal" days, im starting to already see sin taking over. we have a president who condones abortion and the killing of life. there is also a rise is athiesm from what i hear, and the Bible to some is something like a relic of the past. we seem to be living in an age of de-moralization (do you see how both kids and adults behave these days?) and skeptisism when at one point people had the bible as the source of a kingdoms' strength. i mean, what exactly has happened to this once great country? let me put it this way, the past has shown that countries that totally abandon God crumble, and if america keeps faithlessness up, it too will crumble. i am already seeing it, and quite frankly, its depressing. i wouldnt be surprised if the Lord came back tommorow. just wat happened to this country? so distressing and sad...
Did you know that in the 1920's when the Turkey Trot (dance) became popular that the older generation thought it was outrageously promiscuous and that they complained that the younger generation was so very out of line in accordance to Godly behavior?
Actually, I think that each generation goes through the same thing about the decline of Godly behavior of the society. Yeah, it's getting worse, but then that's how it goes until the day of judgment. God doesn’t take drastic measures until the judgment day for each situation in each person's own life because of the fact that God gave each person chance enough and the right to have chosen the
will in which they would follow or have lead them.
Think about this... people will continue on with their crimes until the cops catch them, they have their day in court to be judged and then they are given due sentence. And even then..... some don't give a hoot (choice) . When they get out they continue on with their ungodly behaviors, and sometime, many times the choices that were made were made out of sheer ignorance of the truth of God's love and good will. So what happens? The vicious cycle continues. Why? Because there was no intervention. Why no intervention? Well, partly because of neglect of those who are supposed to be "brother's keeper" and partly because of their own stubbornness, unwilling to change, to set aside the old for the new and better way of life. Some people are just too stubborn to change. And those are the one's that God deals with in the end of the matter. These people are those who are being used by God anyway. Their bad example is used for lessons to NOT do something, and the bad they did is very sad to see the devastation that is left. But God also can take the mess they left behind and USE good people to clean up the mess. Hence,
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (italics used for emphasis).
So really, what those criminals and those who are living in such whorish ungodly behaviors don't realize is that when the finger of God's final call has come it's going to be pointed only in one direction..... at each and every one of us
individually. That we all have to at some point in time be held accountable for our own life face to face in the mirror in front of God almighty, we all do. We all have to face Him and hope that He says, "Well done, my good and faithful "
servant" ". So the question remains with each individual (myself not ever excluded from this, so no pomp meant at all here in making this point) ... We all have to ask...
Did I, am I doing my part in reaching out to actually be a good Samaritan to anyone even to those who are not in my close circle of friends?
Some of my favorite bible verses.
Those about
putting on the whole armor of God as stated in
Ephesians 6:11 - 20
And
Revelation 22:11-15
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
And, of course those scriptures I have placed in my signature of all of my postings: :yes
